Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Dyersburg

Some friends and I went there tonight. Restroom was disgustingly nasty. I almost fell on whatever was all over the floor when I walked in. Our waiter was nice but was the only server on the floor. I believe he did his best with what he was working with. Times between ordering and receiving drinks/refills were extremely long. We ordered spinach dip and when it came out, one was in a large bowl and the other in a much smaller one. I asked what was the difference and was told they had a "bad employee problem where employees throw dishes and flatware away instead of washing them so they have to put stuff in whatever they have." When my friends asked for another drink or I asked for a refill on Pepsi, it took multiple times asking to get them. I finally told the waiter I just wanted my check. All of our checks were wrong and had to be fixed several times. We asked to speak to the manager, she came out and we told her of our issues. She immediately got defensive and said that Applebee's had been in business for 30 years and never had complaints like this. She said we should have told her during the meal and she could have done something but now it was too late. She left and went to the kitchen. We were sitting close to the bar and as we were getting ready to leave a patron sat down at the bar and the bartender looked at us and told the patron that people were acting funny tonight because they got their stimulus checks. None of us were paying with stimulus money. I will not be back in Applebee's Dyersburg until they at least have a competent manager who knows how to operate a restaurant and treats customers with some respect. We went out to have a nice meal and my friends wanted drinks. The experience here...

This business has problems with service. Took way too long to get seated. People continued to walk past you and did not acknowledge. I was not the only one that I noticed that took way too long to be seated. I noticed other people waiting for a long time. While other people walked past them as well. Seem to have a negative attitude for the person who did seat me. That person thought it was a great idea to put me next to a football team, who were very noisy when I was by myself looking for a normal not too loud of a dinner. Mind you, this was on a Sunday evening, not a Saturday or a Friday when they are more busy. There was plenty of places to seat me with other people and not a large crowd, the place was about 1/2 full. Now waiter was even worse yet, She finally takes my order. But then forget about me after that for sometime to come. Someone else brings me my appetizer and my dinner all the same time, Who seemed to have attitude when I made the remark it would have been nice to have my appetizer before my dinner and I would like to have my drink that I ordered. The cheese had been sitting under the heat lamp for some time now my dinner is getting cold trying to catch up. Nothing but excuses, that made much sense. They did not offer any discounts. Everyone had a horrible attitude and I do not Recommend coming to the establishments if they don't want your business. I'm glad that this is not my Hometown.
