The food is decent, however, the service is poor. Have eaten at Los Aribertos several times. We have experienced very long wait times in the drive through, so today we decided to go inside instead. We placed our order and received it 50 minutes later, and only then after going back to the cashier 3 times to find out why it was taking so long. Several other customers that came in after us, got their food and were eating before we received our food. I had an appointment and had to leave so I later called and was told just a minute, the phone was evidently just laid on the counter, because, I could hear everything that was going on. Finally 11 minutes later, they asked me if I wanted to place an order. I told them no, I just wanted to find out why it had taken 50 minutes to get our order. The individual on the phone, cut me off mid sentence, immediately became defensive and said they were really busy and only have one cook, one cashier and one person taking orders. She said it's hard to find help in Eagle Mountain. She then said that they might have lost the order she wasn't sure. I told her that we had reminded them 3 times and it still took that long. She then said she is just a cashier. When I asked to talk to the manager she said they didn't have one, they only have an owner. When I asked to speak with the owner, a conversation in Spanish started and evidently no one wanted to talk with me. I finally told her that I had heard enough and I ended the call. Overall, the food is about the same as I have had at similar restaurants, but, between poor customer service, problem resolution and the fact that they charge 4% service charge, if you use a card of any kind, debit or credit, I probably won't be going back to often. Owning the problem would have been much better than providing...
Read moreGirl taking orders in drive through could not understand questions / requests. We ordered different food and we asked like 3-4 times how many tacos of Carne Asada we already ordered and she proceeded to repeat all the order every time instead of just answering that simple question , it took us like 20 min just to order because of this. Anyway, we just got over it and moved to pay, and this girl proceeds to tell my American husband to not order in Spanish , that “she understands that he is practicing his Spanish but please don’t do it”, her words, that is soo rude! … We are a bilingual family and my husband has been speaking Spanish at least for the last 15 years, he is American and has an accent obviously but his Spanish is way better than that girl taking orders! Obviously you can tell this girl doesn’t have understand Spanish completely and tried blaming my husband because she could not understand what we were ordering, and obviously the girl got the order wrong. But we were at the point that we decided to not come back after being regulars there. We always get something wrong but we can still eat it, we don’t mind but the last straw was this entitle girl. It wouldn’t be have been a big deal until this. This happened like a month ago. We tried ordering in Spanish becasue we always get something wrong but apparently that doesn’t work either. Their attitude just makes people to not go back. In a way, at least we don’t need to go there anymore, that place is also getting expensive. Around $10 por dos tacos? And to get it wrong most of the time....
Read moreWe were excited to try the food here but were sorely disappointed.
I ordered a carne asada taco salad. It was by far the worst I have ever had and I do not say that because I’m mad or frustrated, I’m just being honest. The carne asada tasted like it was cooked in a stew, it was soft and not traditionally grilled. I spit out a lot of the meat because of how chewy it was, I didn’t like their refried beans, it tasted like they were from a can. I ate 2/3 of it and threw the rest away. I feel sick after eating here. My husband got the nachos and feels sick now too from it. A couple guys sitting at the end of the communal table said the food was terrible and they spit out the meat as well. I don’t know if it’s an off day but I would not recommend this place to anyone. I hope they can turn this around.
As for the environment, it was like many Mexican restaurants out here in Utah. It attracts alot of latino construction workers. The seating is awkward, the chairs were made too high for the tables, it looks like they made them from 2x4s which is cool but they didn’t get the height right. The walls are already beat up with chunks of chipped paint from the tables being moved around and rubbing the walls. There was a broken table left to be used by customers. I would encourage the owners to make necessary repairs, repaint the walls and redo their seating and tables. I wish this business the best and hope they can work on their execution in the kitchen when it comes to quality and make the needed improvements on the...
