SHOCKED AND DISSAPOINTED Used them to cater our summer staff party. I will say that we used them 2 years ago and the food and service was GREAT! Not the experience we had this time. I will try to keep this short, ordered on line through the catering link for 75 people. When the food arrived it was only for 50 (which they insist I reduced it too, but that NEVER happened). They forgot to bring one of the sides completely, and ZERO BBQ sauce for all the meat we ordered (ribs, pulled pork, and brisket). Called and they said they would bring the potatoes. We waited, potatoes finally arrived, still no BBQ sauce, had to send someone to the store, by the time all that took place, as you can imagine, the food was cold, cold, cold. We made the best of it at the time. Called the next day and got the owner on the phone, she apologized, and said she was going to credit us the entire order, which I never asked for, in fact I asked for nothing. Owner said she needed to talk to the staff and would call me back the next day, no call, called her back she was rude and said her employees said I told them not to bring BBQ sauce (SERIOUSLY), I explained that is just probably the employees trying to cover themselves, but definitely not true. Then she blamed me for us not getting the additional side dish because I added it to our order afterwards, hmmmm, yes but I added it to "our order" 4 days prior, not my fault they didn't send it out. at that point I felt like I was being accused of something. I said I don't know why the staff are saying these things but I can imagine it's so they don't get in trouble. I have been organizing these events for years and never once had an issue with any business that we have had provide food. I was told they wouldn't be crediting the order (which I never asked for in the first place), all I wanted was the business to be notified of the horrible situation and low quality service, and food we were provided. It would have been nice to get a discount for our inconvenience, but not something I was seeking. I advised I was going to leave a review, never said a bad review, just a truthful review. I was then told that they would write a bad review against our company. Well at this point I am SHOCKED that these people are even in business if this is how they handle situations. Beware, this is how a business owner treats another Idaho business that is always trying to support local....... SHOCKED AND...
Read moreMy first impression of the quality of this barbecue came in May of 2023 at a catered wedding, was delicious and so good that I decided to take my girlfriend to the dine in location in Eagle for her birthday. If I'd ever seen Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the form of food quality this was it. We were the only people in the restaurant around 5 pm 1/4/24 and the format for ordering, paying, and tipping all before you see or taste your food or the "service" that you tipped for. In hindsight this is probably the only way this physical restaurant location can stay in business. Because if you received your portions, quality of the food, and service and were then handed a bill I think things would get ugly in this place pretty quickly. (This is not and exaggeration, look at other reviews.) Burnt ends were the driest and most flavorless I've ever had. Ordered a pound for the girlfriend and I to share and when the food arrived we looked at her mother's plate and she had also ordered the burnt ends and had the same portion size. We asked if she had ordered the full pound and replied that she got the 1/2 pound. This is a Texas themed barbecue place with Shiner beer signs as part of the décor. Ask for a shiner, sorry we're out, ask for fries, sorry we're out. Ask for a lime for your alternate beer corona.....you guessed it we're out. Every sauce tasted like straight vinegar. No one in our party had anything positive to say about their meal. I almost felt embarrassed for this establishment that (based on older reviews) was great at one time. If you are looking for barbecue in the valley avoid this place at all costs. Go to Big Daddy's or even the chain Dickey's or the Albertson's market street on Fairview. This review may sound harsh but it's a straightforward and honest assessment for...
Read moreI was looking for a place for breakfast on Saturday the 22nd. I rolled in here because it was close to where I was. And that I also saw that they had biscuits and gravy. That was amazing. The gravy was perhaps the best I have ever had. The biscuit was definitely made from scratch in the restaurant. And this is one of the only times I have ever gotten over medium eggs when I’ve asked for them. The breakfast was amazing, and I will go back for it. While I was there waiting to pick up my breakfast, I got talking to a fantastically friendly lady who was telling me about their other food items. She mentioned that they are toying with adding a full smoked chicken that is then deep fried. She said it’s a matter of fact they have some today that they will go through. She had me at “smoked and then deep fried “ I bought one that morning for pick up later that night. When I arrive to pick it up, the service was amazingly friendly, and I talked to a gentleman that was as he indicated, one of the drivers behind this chicken. He was obviously busy but amazingly friendly and took time to talk to me about it. I took it home and immediately tore into it. It was perhaps the best tasting chicken I have ever had. The chicken was so juicy, I was a little worried that it wasexcess oil. But it was quite obvious to me after a few bites that it was moisture from the meat. I hope that they keep this on their menu. I will get it every chance I get. Well...
