Had a waiter that was on edge tonight! Don’t know what was going on in his life, but after we had sat down for 10 minutes, any request from us he would actually roll his eyes. He brought out a salad with out a fork and when we requested a fork he just responded sharply “still” with no other comment, as if he couldn’t please us still. Granted he didn’t know our full situation, but at this point I had enough. My fiancé and I, getting married in two days were out with our disabled son in a wheelchair (nonverbal) and with my future in-laws and we were a little bit distracted from ordering as we were catching up. My fiancé is pregnant and has had the worst morning sickness past two months losing 5lbs and so she doesn’t deserve this treatment and it was directed primarily at her. I had given him some grace and leniency, but this was too much. I went to the back kitchen and approached a very responsive waitress, Shelby, she greeted me kindly and took my concern to speak with a manager seriously and with respect and pointed me right to the manager. When I started apologizing to the manager as this was out of the norm for me she pulled over the GM and another company leader. The all listened attentively and gave me their time within a busy Thursday evening. As I was confirmed heard and that the servers actions were unacceptable, they promptly followed me back to my table and placed Shelby on the table to help us further. I was really impressed and am very thankful for how Shelby and management dropped everything to resolve this situation and make the best of a difficult interaction. I would highly suggest that you check out this Idaho chain and enjoy time with family or friends! Thank you to the whole crew at Smokey...
Read moreI had to get up and ask a hostess if we could get some service. 2 tables that came in after us were being served and we hadn't had anyone come by. Finally got a server to take our order. Probably 10 minutes later our appetizer shows up. 15 minutes later my wife's boneless chicken wings show up, dried up and luke warm, I still don't have my pizza. Our waitress walks past us, taking care of other customers and I have to stop her and ask if we'd been forgotten. She says "no, why?" And I say "well, my wife's food was delivered dried out and luke warm and I don't have my food". She says my pizza is almost ready and takes my wife's wings and says she'll get a new batch. So, 15 minutes later her wings show up, no ranch dipping sauce. We wait another 5 minutes, her sauce shows up, still no pizza for me. Another 5 minutes go buy. My pizza shows up, no sliced tomatoes, i wait because I like sliced tomatoes on my pizza, they finally get delivered. Pizza was very good. 2 tablets that came in after us finish eating and leave and we just got our food? She took the fries off our bill. Our whole meal should have been taken off. Ruined the evening. Tipped our waitress 20%. It should have been a nice evening at a decent restaurant but it turned into a frustrating event. When you go into a restaurant you'd like to have a nice evening, it's not just getting food, it's a time to relax and enjoy your meal, talk visit. Not getting frustrated because you have to get up and ask for someone to take your order, then ask them where your food is and why does only one person have like warm food and the other person have nothing,...
Read moreMy wife and I have been coming to the Eagle location for 8 years. Today I had the worst experience ever. The waiter was new and couldn’t answer simple question. I asked if I could sub a salad instead of the fries or parm garlic fries that come with the sandwich. He said sure no problem. When the bill came he charged me extra for the salad. My point simply is if he couldn’t he should have told me then I wouldn’t mind paying for it. My Sicilian Chicken Sandwich was awful. The grilled onions looked more like grilled peppers, there was no marinara sauce at all on the sandwich and the chicken and parm was horrible it looked like they just popped it out of the freezer. Last week we ordered take out here which we do once in a while. My Wife asked for a side of steamed veggies. She was told absolutely no problem. At the 35 min mark when she went to pickup the food she got there and had folks who came in after her get waited. The steamed veggies were nowhere to be found. My Wife waited over 20 minutes (55 minutes from the original ordering time) and the waitstaff glared at her like she did something wrong. We’ve been eating here probably at least twice per month for 8 years and usually the food is very good. We need to reevaluate our local eating here at SMP. Sad....
