Started off with a great experience and planned on going back with a group of friends ...When I was checking out the girl placed a random white bag by me and I had no clue what it was. Went I got home inside was a small stained glass item...Wasn’t sure why they gave it to me but assumed maybe they were giving away items that were never picked up. (Ceramica did that once and said take a piece if you want)
My husband went back a week later to grab the glass pieces I made with the girls. To his surprise he had to speak with the owner first. The owner went off on him saying I stole a bag that was not mine. My husband had no clue what she was talking about. He asked me what was going on and told him I thought it was given to us however I had no issues sending it back. He explained to the owner that it was an accident and I misunderstood assuming it was a gift. The owner literally told him I was lying and stole the bag.
Fusion had my phone # and name they could have called me? Also I have NO desire to steal some small random glass piece after spending $50 dollars on an afternoon of fun with my girls. I even shared all our fun on social media promoting how great Fusion was.
Now because I was called a thief/lier I can never support or promote this business again. I’m a business professional and will not have anyone demoralize who I am.
A true business professional would call the client after they noticed an incident. Or when they saw them next or in my case my spouse. Hello last time when you were in did your wife by chance grab a bag on her way out? That was meant for someone else and I’m sorry for any confusion if she thought it was for her.” “Let me call my wife I’m not sure of what occurred that day”. “ I asked my wife and she thought it was given to her and is sorry for the misunderstanding” “Let me go home right now and bring it back to you”.
It’s truly unfortunate that this business owner does not understand professional communication skills and how to treat patrons respectably. Misunderstandings and accidents happen! Accusing and being upright rude is...
Read moreMy granddaughter and I “walked in” to Fusion on Saturday and had a wonderful time creating a craft project that will memorialize our visit together for life. Although there are lovely items for sale (jewelry, wall hangings, sun catchers, etc) the space is mainly dedicated to sharing the love of glass. They have quite a few tables and each place at each table is equipped with all the tools needed for beginning to relatively advanced fusion work plus safety glasses. I am familiar with the world of glass crafting and can tell you that Fusion Glass Studio offers some of the best crafting glass in the world in all the shapes one would want from flat sheets, ribbons, rods, coarse and fine frit (which is like colored sand) in fine and medium grit. There are also special shapes like hearts that you can buy and add to your design.
We were immediately welcomed and given a short but excellent orientation that explains all the equipment, supplies and, most importantly, how to use them safely. I was a little worried about sifting through the small glass pieces in boxes on the table but we never got a scratch and there were families with children much younger than my 11 year old granddaughter but I never heard a whimper. You can choose the size of your project from the size of a quarter which is extremely affordable to larger flat pieces and more advanced shapes which accordingly go up in price. Depending on the size of your project, it will obviously take more time to complete. We spent a very happy 3 hours finishing ours and never felt rushed. My granddaughter does not reside in Utah and it takes about a week to ready a project for pick up so they offer packaging and shipping for her project to safely reach her. There were at least two tables (or 8 spots) that were available on a Saturday morning so we did not have to wait. I am extremely impressed with Fusion Glass and can't wait to take my other grandchildren when they visit Idaho so if you are looking for something to do with your children, I highly recommend a visit...
Read moreI went with a friend a few weeks ago for a girls day out. We both did a small project. I felt that the staff did a good job explaining the process and being available to answer any questions. I am only giving 4 stars because when I left my project to be fired, the heart was centered and straight. When I picked up my project the heart was off centered and at an angle. I was really disappointed. It was to be a present for my...
