Joe's Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Easley

I would like to have posted a picture but it doesn't show me where I can... One of the sisters in my congregation told me how wonderful this place was and the hot dogs were out of this world. So being my first time here I stopped in on my way home I got my husband a plate and I got me a bird dog. This is why I want to post a picture because that was the saddest bird dog I've ever seen in my life. One very very small piece of chicken and one even smaller piece of bacon not cooked properly. I was so disappointed to say the least. My husband said his food was good but the fries were bland and tasteless and let's not forget cold. I don't live far from there not long enough for them to get cold if they were fresh. Sadly with some of the reviews I've seen and agree with it's more than likely I won't go back. If somebody could tell me how to post a picture on here I'd be more than glad to because I took a picture of it before I tried eating it which was horrible...SMH highly...

I really really hate to say this but the food is not anywhere as good as it used to be. The hot dogs that I have loved since a kid was horrible. The chili was absolute mush. It had no flavor, no texture to even tell it was hamburger meat, or did it have the aroma of good chili. It was just mush and flavorless. I have never had chili anywhere look like or taste like that. Even the slaw was dry it was more like eating chopped cabbage than slaw. I couldn't even finish the meal. I have never turned down a hot dog in my life. It's my favorite. I had not been to Joe's since he passed and was so excited to experience his famous hot dogs again. It was such a huge disappointment.😥 I have never given a bad review but this was just...

My dad and I eat at Joe’s on Saturday a couple times a month. I go in and get the food since Covid, and we eat in the car. My dad and I didn’t have the opportunity to meet Joe; however, his wife and daughter are very nice people. Going to Joe’s is a special place for us, so it’s more than just a diner. We usually get a hotdog, but I’m sure my dad’s favorite is the fries😊. As he is eating I purposely ask him are the fries good, and follow it up with asking him if he wishes I would hush... he always just keeps eating and says yes he wishing I’d be quiet, but he knows I won’t😊.
