When I called to place an order, the woman who picked up the phone said she had to put me on hold for a minute. I waited around 7 minutes and decided to hang up and call back, as it was a while and I thought maybe they had forgotten they put me on hold (which seemed to be the case). Well, the same woman (knowing I was the one she put on hold the first time) rudely answered and the first thing she said was something along the lines of âI was gonna tell you that you need to place an order online or wait on hold.â I was taken aback, and then asked âOkay, is it because you are really busy?â and she rudely said âyeahâ rushing the conversation. Customer service is a 0 for me, and I donât care how busy you are, you should still be respectful and polite when answering the phone. I also donât know what the difference is between placing an order online or on the phone with her, since she didnât appear to be busy (but maybe was embarrassed she completely forgot she put me on hold & was trying to hint at turning us away because she couldnât handle having more than 10 customers in the restaurant at a timeâŚ). Either way, ordering online or on the phone, they would make the order when they could, and there would be a wait time. So Iâm not sure what the problem was, or why she couldnât just politely say they were too busy and couldnât serve/take takeout orders for anyone else. I donât appreciate the attitude and did not expect that from Merrellâs. I placed the order online as it was getting later and my family was waiting for me to order, and this was the only place nearby with decent pizza (and letâs say âdecentâ prices, although high for specialty pizzas). Got home after picking it up, and as we are eating my mother realized her stromboli (mozzarella with meatballs) had raw meatballs, some were bloodshot red/pink. In addition, the pizza had barely any cheese on it, mostly just sauce, and the dough was underbaked. So much for ordering food, picking it up, and needing a new plan for food tonight. You either say you are too busy and are not taking anymore orders for the night/the time being, that way you are not rushing the food to the point where you give it to customers raw. Or you allow orders and properly cook them through all the way. Itâs common sense and a matter of whether you want to keep business or lose it.

Read moreThere was trash outside all over , but we have had good experiences there, so we overlooked it. Went in was about to order, a lady came to the counter and complained that there was drink in the walkway, her grandson almost slipped in. The put a cone beside it instead of cleaning it up.We went for wings, but their prices have went up! We ordered, a chicken parmigiana and baked spaghetti and went into the room to sit and seen what she meant, many tables filthy unbussed, and food on all over the floor. Nobody making any effort to clean up. I chalked it off to lack of help. Normal wait time for the food, but his came out nuclear hot and mine was just lightly warm. We were given very small flimsy plastic forks with our food, the chicken parm was actually chicken Alfredo, they gave us the wrong order, it was so hot it MELTED the plastic fork. We asked for real silverware, and was told there was none clean. My husband was getting frustrated dealing with the wrong food and a melted plastic fork , so I switched my meal with him and took the Alfredo , and asked the girl again about silverware, she said Iâll just go wash him a fork! So she did. To top it all off there was a PIT in his salad that he bit into and has hurt his tooth, Iâll be making a dentist appointment tomorrow for that. The food was extremely mediocre, and by then we were fed up , she brought us carry out boxes, but decided it wasnât worth it to bring it home. The waitress did the the best she could I guess. The entire place is chaotic and a mess. This used to be one of the best places on Main to Eat but may be one of the worst now. Unfortunately, we wonât be back. And by seeing the reviews, this is a common occurrence, so please donât reply to my review with this isnât common, please get your...
Read morePlaced an order via the publicized On-Line ordering option on the website at 3:30pm on a Sunday for a 14 inch pizza with toppings of peppers, onions, sausage, black olives, pepperonis. Arrived to pick up pizza and when the girl brought it out to me she had a funny look on her face. She opened the lid of the box and revealed all toppings on one half of the pie, the other half cheese. She asked me âDid you mean for it to be like that?â I was a bit taken back and said âNo, I ordered additional toppings with them on the entire pie.â Instead of offering me any resolution, or even a simple apology for the mishap, she brusquely stated âYou shouldnât use our online ordering, you should just call. The online ordering is wacky. Just call.â To which I replied, âWell, we wonât be doing either in the future.â Still no response or apology for charging me over $20 And getting my order wrong. If the preferred method of contact between patron and restaurant is the phone, and you collect all of this contact information during the online ordering process which you refuse to take down even though it is known to be âwackyâ, the restaurant should have called ME to clarify the order. The pizza was also over cooked with a hard dark crust, completely unacceptable since it was 4pm on a Sunday with no one in the restaurant. The brashy server was the icing...
