When "$1.50 tacos Friday - Sunday" is written on your sign outside your restaurant...shouldn't you as the employee know?
Not here unfortunately.
My girlfriend and I came in on Saturday and she ordered 4 tacos, assuming she would only be charged $6 +tax. The receipt said that she was charged regular price of the tacos ($13 +tax). When she asked why this was the case when the sign outside clearly said "$1.50 tacos Friday - Sunday," the girl at the counter said "You needed to tell me you wanted that special before you ordered."
...What? I've never been to a restaurant where you need to TELL the person taking your order that you want your food at the reduced price that THEY are promoting. And if this is a regular deal they offer every weekend (or even only this weekend!), shouldn't they just automatically know that and charge the customer accordingly?
The girl refused to refund the extra money she took from my girlfriend.
When I went back and asked why she was charged the regular price, the girl gave me an attitude. The manager/owner, I assume, then told my girlfriend the same thing that the employee said about needing to let them know that she wanted the special before paying/ordering and then mentioned how they also serve tacos at a discount on Taco Tuesday... I don't know how that relates to the problem.
The mall that this place is located in has already been dying, but I know that this specific restaurant is a newer addition there. You would at least hope when a new place like this opens, they act as a breath of fresh air and hopefully put some life back into the mall they're operating in. This place doesn't do that. The restaurant is never super busy whenever I've passed it, so to not know how your menu operates and expect the customer to do your work for you when there are bigger establishments out there who know right away that when they offer you a discounted deal, it goes right on the receipt without a word, is severely disappointing. We went to Red Robin earlier in the same day with some friends and when one friend placed his order, the waitress even said "Oh that's a good choice, especially for today since it's half off." That is the kind of customer service that makes people want to come back.
Needless to say, won't be back for Taco Tuesday or any day for...
Read moreWhen entering you see how nice the ambience and the decor of the restaurant is. I like how colorful it is. I asked for coffee and I love how it was served in clay cup and how they do it back in Mexico. We ordered tacos , they look small but looks can be deceiving those 6 tacos I ate filled me up! I recommend this place for a taco date or if you're in the mood for some...
Read moreThe owners are dope and they’ll give you solid suggestions. The chorizo is not charred nor super strong and salty but still flavorful and homey-tasting (good for when you’re not tryna get flavor blasted point blank but still want something savory). They’ll hook you up with the good stuff if you ask. Next time I’ll try the...
