the only reason i’m giving this place 2 stars is because the food was really good, but otherwise, 2 stars is generous. service was absolutely awful. our server has definitely never served a day in her life before, which is fine, but she also very clearly had zero training.
we ordered our food and drinks and everything was fine. food comes out and we’re served flimsy paper plates and one plastic fork to eat crab legs with. the crab legs came in a plastic bag, which I found really weird. the server said it’s because crab legs are too big for a plate. what? my boyfriends bag had a hole in it, causing butter to leak all over the table (picture attached is how he sat the entire meal, with butter all over the table and his empty drink). once we got our food, our server never came back. she had one other table other than us, and I just saw her standing around much of the time. we weren’t given any crab crackers or anything so after 5 minutes of having our food, I got up to ask for them. she asked someone else for them and said she didn’t know what they were. you work in a crab restaurant and don’t know what that is? anyway, we get those from someone else and I sit down. at this point, my boyfriends drink has been empty for about 15 minutes. she never came back. again, I get up to go get him a drink. I ask the person behind the completely empty bar (not one person was sat at it) for a pepsi. he then asks someone else to go in the kitchen and get it. are you not standing behind the bar with cups, ice and a soda gun? that made no sense to me that he couldn’t just get it himself.
we see our server at the table next to us, so after a literal half hour of her not coming back once, we can flag her down to ask for the check. while she’s standing at this table, I hear them ask for coffee and she said she had to go ask someone if they serve that. how do you not know if you sell coffee? again, very obvious this girl was never trained.
finally, we’re about to leave, and to top off this absolutely awful experience, we hear the server ask the women at the table behind us for their numbers. when they both said they’re married, I kid you not, this server says “there’s goalies in soccer and they can still score at least 50% of the time”. i’ve managed restaurants in the past and that kid would have been fired on the spot if that kind of comment was ever made to a table of women. so disrespectful and disgusting.
this place is so unprofessional and lazy. the food was great, but the whole experience will definitely make us never go back. this was the worst restaurant experience i’ve had in a long time. train your servers, get some real plates and utensils, and don’t serve crab legs with 2 cups of liquid butter in a...
Read moreThis experience was beyond a disaster. I get there at 6:30pm and the line is visibly long from outside. This is not a big deal because the way it normally works is you put your name down and they give you a rough estimate on the waiting period. In my head I had the mentality of putting my name down and maybe walking around the mall until a table was ready. I was ready to wait and be patient since I understand that they were busy and it was technically a holiday. I open the door and I can’t even get in yet. The line wasn’t even people waiting for their table but people waiting to just put their name down!!! While I was in line a lady who had walked in after me called the front desk to put down her name which essentially cut the entire line and they honored it! For some reason she left after making the call but her name was called by the server before I even put my name down on the wait list. Another person saw this and told me that he had tried to call earlier and the hostess said they were NOT taking reservations. So what were they doing? I waited in the line for an hour to just put my name down. When putting my name down I saw they were going off of 3 lists which is probably why the hostess were all so disorganized and confused. They told me I would be seated in 20-30 minutes (spoiler alert: THEY LIED). While waiting for our table we realize a lot of the people in the waiting area were picking up for either phone pick up, in store pick up, Uber eats, and DoorDash. We started to talk to the people around us as it hit another HOUR of waiting. This one guy told us he had placed his order in store for an hour and a half ago. He was told it would take 30-40 minutes. Another lady heard this and came up to us to say she was waiting for two hours for a phone in pickup. The delivery drivers were also getting extremely irritated because they have also been waiting for an hour for their order. During this time a lady stormed through the exit informing us that she had sat down and waited an hour and a half and there was still no food at the table. I turn around and ask a table how long they’ve been waiting for their food and they told me over an hour! After hearing that my boyfriend and I gave up because why would we wait 3 hours to put our name down and get a table and then wait another two OR MORE hours to get food? I understand that it was Valentine’s Day and stores get busy but the management seemed like they didn’t prep for it at all! The cherry on top was they lied about the wait times by a significant number! At least give your customers the decency of transparency! This ruined mine and countless of others experiences for...
Read moreI was initially going to give 5 stars, but I will NOT because of the phone interaction I had with the RUDE and INSENSITIVE manager when I called back to give her a heartfelt positive feedback I had with the waitress. (This conversation took place April 24 at around 4:45). My friend’s mom and I had went in to eat here for the first time before we had to go to my friend’s (her daughter’s memorial). We were already anticipating a rough and emotional day when we were waited on by the sweetest, most helpful waitress. I didn’t catch her name, this was the same day at around 12:30, 1pm. Not only did she sit down and offer to pray for us, but she covered our entire bill and told us to have a great day, giving us a bunch of kind words and positive re-enforcement before we left. My friend’s mom and I were literally in tears by this lady’s selflessness and love she poured into us. I decided to call back to let her manager know of how amazing our experience was, more-so to give the waitress the recognition she deserves. I got on the phone, as mentioned I did not catch her name but I tried to describe what the waitress looked like to ensure we’re talking about the correct person. I asked her “do you know who I’m talking about?” Her response was delayed and sounded uninterested before I even started talking. I told her about our experience anyway, half way through my (30 second positive experience rant, I was making it quick and to the point knowing I’m sure they were busy) she cut me off in the MIDDLE of my heartfelt thank you, she mutters something and clearly I heard “bye.” ????? Seriously? I said “hold on, I’m not finished yet, this is important you know this about your staff and you’re going to rush me off the phone?” She went silent. So to put an end to this, the waitress was the sweetest lady, the food was awesome, the MANAGER HOWEVER, was rude, insensitive and just an overall negative representation to the company and I just assumed she’d be interested in hearing positive feedback from her awesome staff.. apparently...
