The AxeCeptional Experience — Attraction in East Brunswick Township

My friends and I started the year with a get-together to do something we hadn't done before. We found "The Axe" close to my house on a snowy January night. I go to a lot of restaurants and venues where the product offered is good but may not be memorable. For me, the people working at a place can make a good experience into an "axeceptional" one and John did exactly that. My group and I had a great time anyway, but the man-in-charge managed to give us advice, show us tips and tricks, and in general had some fun with us. Since we were there late, we had the place to ourselves and that gave us the opportunity to interact. We had arrived just one night after their grand opening; he gave us a tour of the whole place too, and gave us the option to pick where we wanted to throw. The end result is that we had a terrific time, improved by John's involvement. One of our group was not available to join us that night, so when we're able to get out as a group again, I suspect this will be on our radar for a return trip. I brought my boys for the little one's birthday and they had the best time! So much so that the older one said that's what he wants to do on his birthday in July! Jon, the owner, is absolutely amazing! He is so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The place had an awesome atmosphere, and it was super clean. The boys loved the axe throwing games that allowed us to compete (they especially enjoyed the tic tac toe and zombies), and being able to use different size/weight axes. Jon also has party rooms, private rooms, and even a pool table room where people can just hang out and take a break from throwing axes! Thank you, Jon for making my son's birthday a great one! We'll definitely be back...

We found a good sale on Groupon and the company honored it so they got their direct money. We didn’t have a reservation and even though they looked closed, we called the number and they came right over in about five minutes and we got to throw. I would call and make a reservation next time, but we had the whole afternoon so we didn’t mind waiting.

Axe masters were very knowledgeable and gave us good feedback on our technique and since we had the pace to ourselves we got to pick the music. 10/10 will be...
