Awful experience. We ordered two pizzas. The hot honey chicken, which was amazing. Then we ordered the margarita pizza. What we got, I didnāt even recognize. Cubed tomatoes from the grocery store that were raw on top of an already cooked pizza that had chunks of mozzarella thrown on it. No basil. It had some dried sprinkling of oregano. It was literally the worst pizza I have ever ordered from a non-chain restaurant. Iām not a picky eater, and never return food. I asked them politely to please make us another pizza, which they told me I would have to pay for. I told them this didnāt even resemble the description of the pizza or a margarita pizza that I have ever seen. They didnāt care. I asked him to point out the basil that was in the description. He brought me some bruised up nasty basil to toss on the top of this gross pizza. It wasnāt even on the pizza before. I wonāt be back to this place. Please note that the photo I added below has no sauce, and was $20!! The hot honey chicken was $19.50. That was worth it. What I got in the margarita pizza was not worth it for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never leave bad reviews, but this is the exception. We ordered the Margherita Pizza, Fried Ravioli, and Cannoli...spent about $40. So disappointing.
The pizza wasn't Margherita. It was just diced tomatoes thrown on top and spots of shredded cheese melted in random places. No seasoning. VERY bland. (Margherita Pizza- which we absolutely love- is sliced roma tomatoes, FRESH sliced mozzarella and pesto or basil.)
The fried ravioli wasn't terrible, just very bland.
Now for the most disappointing (and actually pretty gross) Cannoli. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR RECIPE! The cannoli was just ricotta cheese mixed with a little sugar and MAYBE a tiny dash of vanilla- which was undetectable, but gave the cream a slight yellowish tint. It was just nasty- tasted like nothing but had that ricotta texture. Even my son took a taste and threw it in the trash. Cannoli Cream is made with ricotta, marscapone, confectioner's sugar, vanilla (enough to taste), a bit of cinnamon and a pinch of salt. I'm really sorry to leave this review, but I would hate to see a restaurant fail due to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI live locally and therefore, I eat locally. I have eaten at Toninos pizzeria well over 50 times since they've been open from Day 1. I tried many items on the menu. The most notable day was that of the grand opening. The original owner walked out personally and gave me biscotti and a espresso Since then your food quality has gone up and then gone down. Its like a rollercoaster of quality. Tonight, I ordered a large pizza half pepperoni/half cheese, and a caesar salad with grilled chicken. The pizza was for my stepson and partner. The salad was for me. The salad was absolutely horrible!š¤¦š½āāļø You put the hot grilled chicken in a cold salad with freshly shaved parm. The cheese melted into a clump, not to mention, don't skim on the cheese. It is what I paid for. I won't ever order that salad from you again. I don't write these reviews to be nasty, however, I write them to state my honest food experience. I have not been very happy with lewisburg eateries lately. Maybe next time i will dine in. It may or may not be different....
