Captain D's — Restaurant in East Ellijay

Letisha- 70 is a more that fair temperature. When its 70 degrees outside, do you turn on the heat at home? If so, Florida is a couple of hundred miles south of us. Bring a coat next time.

Sorry about that you all! Those kinds of things really grinds my gears. As far as my visit, I dined in. I was a little skeptical about the freshness of the food I ordered since it was plated and ready for me to go consume it before I was even given my recipt. It in fact was excellent. 'Fresh' Alaskan cod was just that, fresh. I highly doubt it was pulled from the Pacific this week, or even this month- but it was delicious. Very friendly atmosphere, those dining were very quiet as well; though I'm going to say what others won't.. when 80% of their customer base at any Captain D's I have ever been to is upper aged citizens, that's to be expected. Prices were fair bordering on high- but it is fish after all. I had the fish and chips. Cost me 8.99$ with a small drink. Don't get in the mood for fish all that often, but when I do I will be back to this location

Updated: I hate to make updates to good reviews. the past two times I've been here the turnaround for people in drive through averages about 9 minutes a car. I did not feel the need to update the review after the first occurrence- we all have off days, but today I had to draw the line. I was four cara back and in no real hurry. Without exagerrating, It took me 37 minutes to get through drive through. SO many...

Service was extremely slow and the employee who had taken our order was very rude. After waiting in the drive thru line for close to 15 minutes we finally had a chance to pay and were hoping to get our food. Well we paid and waited again for an additional 10 minutes before I pulled into the parking lot to go inside and figure out the problem. I had to get the cashiers attention even after two other families had just entered the restaurant. I asked why it was taking so long and she rudely answered that she's the only one there and that she has other customers to take care of. She then finally says we had to wait on more hush puppies. I then asked why she couldn't give me the courtesy of atleast telling us in the drive thru but once again given another excuse of her being the only one there. A gentlemen who happened to be up at the counter waiting for his food told me at least two other couples before him had walked out because it had taken so long. When he pointed out that his food was up in the heat lamp drying out they then decided to get it for him and tried to offer a free dessert to fix...

Food at the Ellijay location was good but the wait was 40 minutes from time of order and incorrect. The young lady taking orders seemed to be tired or just unpleasant or maybe both. Bathrooms needed to be serviced. Won’t be going back to this location.

Update March 2022 - I followed the link provided and corporate management responded immediately. They expressed their concerns and a sincere desire to "make-it-right" to me. True to their word, I received four coupons for free meals at the Ellijay location. So upon our return to Ellijay in March, we went to Captain D's and were pleasantly surprized. The staff was cheerful, greeted us warmly and promptly took our order which was completed perefectly. The restrooms were very clean and the food was really good. As such, I've updated the rating to five stars. The story has a happy ending and we look forward to continuing to stop at the Ellijay Captain D's. Customer service does make...
