The young lady who made our sandwiches did an awesome job. She washed her hands and while doing so greeted us friendly and quickly. If it had just been her this store would have gotten all 5 stars from me easier then anyone ever.. What happened next disgusted me. A coworker came out from the back touching her hair and checked the temperature of the meatballs with no gloves and not washing her hands first. She went back to the back and came out chewing something (so she's eating while working and I'm guessing not washing her hands...) and puts a tray of bacon in the line (which had no dead pan in it to keep the line from getting to high in temperature)..again no gloves... then she came out and opened a oven door again no gloves. Then comes carrying out trays to put in the oven again with no gloves.. still chewing... puts them in the oven turns around not washing her hands and puts on gloves to take a gentleman's order behind us. As a general manager of several restaurants over the years I would have fired her on the spot. Simply because touching something containing raw foods and dough then not washing your hands and using gloves to make a ready to eat food item is cross contamination. That can cause food born illness and make anyone who comes into contact with what she's touched sick. I was only there for a few minutes and witnessed several things that go against health regulations for handling ready to eat food all by this one girl. I most likely won't be back to this location.
Edited the same night as purchase and original review
Sadly and against my better judgment I decided to try to eat my meatball sandwich. It tasted fine so we continued eating. Now it's a little after 11pm and I'm sick and probably going to be sleeping next to this God forsaken toilet until whatever this is is over. Thanks for taking your customers well being into such "high consideration"... I'll definitely not be going back.
Subway is all we have eaten today. There are zero other reasons for this. It is ridiculous. This establishment needs some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell this review was not going to start out with five stars but it certainly made it there. We made an online order that was not prepared upon arriving we were told by a very rude ( I stop myself short from saying lady and my mother wouldnāt appreciate what I want to call her!) employee that more than 5 sandwiches ( which was 3 foot longs and 2 6 inch ) were a catering order and have to be ordered an hour and a half in advance. Well we paid on line so since there wasnāt a mask in sight opted to have a refund. Well theā¦ā¦ employee rudely told us she could not refund to do it online. Ask for managers contact number and refused to give it. Finally dialed it herself and gave us the phone. Now it gets professional, Wayne was there within 5 minutes. Very apologetic , the kind of manager you wish was in every establishment you walk into. Reprimanded the deserving employees ( it wasnāt just one rude one ) personally made our sandwiches and gave a full refund. The one shining employee in the shop was an extremely polite young man named Jonathan. He was awesome . Youngest one in the store and the only customer oriented one. Turns out great, Wayne was amazing food was fantastic as usual and I will be back often for sure. Although hopefully you know who will be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent there today on our way up the mountain to grab lunch to go. It was early..10am, and the employee was outside smoking..she came in and did not wash her hands (thank goodness she wore gloves). I ordered our food, she started making them and incorrectly put terreyaki chicken on my sons sandwich. I told her politely it was meant for the 6inch sandwich not his foot long. She dumped the chicken back into the bucket, no big deal right, itās juat teriyaki chicken. So I then asked her if she could change out the bread please.. (because the sauce was all over it). She then proceeded to go off on me āāmaāam Iām going to, I will change it but what do you want me to do, just throw it away, you could just wait, I mean do what do you want me to do?ā Her tone was so rude, I was floored with the hand gestures that went with it. I contemplated just telling her forget about it and leave however I clarified with her and said āmaāam I was not being rude, just asking to change the breadā. She snapped at me the remainder of the time as we went threw the order process. Anyhow, I would never go back there. Iād rather do without than deal with that uncalled...
