Very inconsistent with staff service, food portions, and drinks We ate here for dinner one day on vacation and had Chelsea as our server. She was great and very attentive. The next day we came for lunch and had a tall young man in the bar table seating area who left a lot to be desired. I ordered the exact same meal both days (9 oz Parmesan crusted chicken with rice pilaf, salad, and mai tais). The 1st day there was hardly any chicken and it was a little dry, but edible. The rice was a small yet decent portion and the two mai tai were terrific and served in a beer glass. The 2nd day had a lot more chicken than day one and a lot more rice. There was so much parmasen topping that it was running off the plate on day 2. The mai tai (the first two I ordered) came in a thin glass that was less than half of the amount that came in the beer glass the day before (yet they still cost the same $8). Our waiter spent most of our time there in the booth next to us hanging out with what I assume was his friends or family. Every once in awhile he would get up and check on his tables. He seemed to question me ordering a third mai tai and I told him they are very small and nothing like they were from the bartender yesterday. He must have said something to her because the third one came out in the beer glass. We ordered soup asking it come out as an appetizer but he never got around to bringing it out until we asked (while he was sitting at the booth hanging out with his peeps) and he was able to bring it right out, so it was back there waiting on him. He was nice enough but needs to remember that he is there to work and do a job and not hang out having personal time on the company's dime and customer's time. Management needs to work on consistency and food drink portions as they are obviously all over the place based on the different cooks and...
Read moreLonghorn is the only chain restaurant we really enjoy. They are consistently consistent. As a rule... Our last couple visits were not impressive, but today's visit, WOW. Eating out is a treat we don't afford often. We drove to the next town south since we don't have a Longhorn nearby. The parking lot was empty. We were seated at a filthy booth with bits of bacon and food from the previous diners. It had not been wiped. After a bit of a wait, our server showed up on was ready to take our drink order, but after we asked about having our table wiped down , she moved us to a clean booth. Our bread and drinks took a bit of a wait, but we're excellent when they arrived. Then our appetizer and salads and after another wait our burgers. We're burger people, but our last Longhorn burger was a little dissapointing and we hoped for a revive tonight. They come with bacon, pickle, sauce, Onion, tomato and lettuce. We both said medium rare and no onion. They were perfectly medium rare. After I removed my onion..🤔..I had to look twice to find 2 partial bits of bacon. Seriously, both together were about the size of a half strip of bacon and there was almost no sauce. I was thoroughly disappointed. My husband got lucky with 3 bacon bits that were not burnt like mine. No one checked to see how things were, or if we needed anything else unless they were bringing something. Our trash and empty items including my glass of ice desperately waiting for a tea refill stayed on the table til the end when we said no thank you to desert. The kicker is, the place was dead. It's not as though they were slammed and couldn't keep up. It was 3pm on a Wednesday there were a total of 3 couples and a group of 5 on the side if the restaurant we were sitting on. This was not a good trip. Service was...
Read moreMy wife and I had dinner here Friday 7/21/17 and it was delicious. I got ribs and she got a flo's filet. It was all very well prepared and our server was very attentive and professional. We came back on Sunday 7/23/17 and the food was awful, pretty much all of it. The only really edible meal was our granddaughter's cheeseburger kid's meal. My wife and daughter each got the shaved steak sandwich with a caesar salad. My wife had at most a teaspoon of dressing on her salad. Our son in law's caesar salad had no dressing either. My wife's steak sandwich was lukewarm and tough as shoe leather with a lot of fat, muscle and gristle in what was supposed to be shaved steak. Our daughter's sandwich was the same way and their ciabata buns were soggy. They picked through what little they could eat and just called it quits. I got pork chops and both of them were so tough, I could eat neither. Our waitress was nowhere to be found so after waiting a good bit, I just flagged down another server and explained the problem. I told them to just cook me a burger medium well without a bun. After a long wait and having to ask where my burger was, I finally got it. I'm guessing the gentleman who brought it out was the manager but since he did not introduce himself as such, I have no idea. I ate part of the burger, but since blood was running all around my plate on a medium well burger, my appetite was shot at this point. Our waitress finally reappeared to make sure I got charged for a burger instead of the pork chops but if she and the management had really wanted my continued business, my dinner should have been marked off the bill. Needless to say, the entire staff failed miserably on Sunday and we won't be...
