Our family’s FAVORITE restaurant!! Their menu is large, and basically the same as every where else. BUT!!! This is the most CONSISTENT food ever. It is amazing and exactly the same, every single time! No good days vs bad days. No “oh there’s a different cook today so it’s different.” None of that!!
Not to mention the fact that the prices are beyond reasonable, especially for the amount of meat and portion sizes. I always have left over for lunch the next day. Margs are strong. You absolutely get what you pay for.
I love the service here! We come 2-4 times a month for the last 2ish years, and we’ve only had 1 or 2 times when the service was just “okay” instead of “fantastic.” Everyone works their butts off! Chips and salsa the second you sit down. Food is always timely. And all of the servers are so friendly!!
Last point, is that we are obviously a tourist town. When the season is at peak, it’s terrible for us locals to try to attempt to go out to eat. So many of the restaurants around here either don’t have the capacity, or have a very hard time handling so much volume. Not Pueblo Cantina!! They are one of the only restaurants in town that will always be able to seat you, and handle the heavy crowds with ease and grace. So many times, when family comes to visit, they want to try some different restaurants, but we end up driving to multiple places because of wait times, kitchens being shut down for the rest of the night, no parking, or simply not being open 7 days a week. And we always end up at Pueblo Cantina in the end. My favorite restaurant in Ellijay, hands down. Get the...
Read moreMeh.... that's the best word to describe it. the service was good and there's definitely enough seating and the food came out so fast that you are a special kind of person if you think it was made fresh or to order. Margaritas were Meh. The fajitas were Meh, so much so we didn't get a to go box for my lunch the next day. The burrito was Meh. Chips and salsa were good. There is two things Ellijay didn't need any more of; Pizza restaurants and Mexican restaurants but here we are, 3 Mexican restaurants in one vicinity (2 with the same name).. you'd be better off going to the older one in my opinion.... or even the 5 other ones that I know of. Why do we have that many Mexican restaurants? Why aren't any of them amazing ? that's a great question indeed. You'd think with the authenticity they would all be amazing. Also its a good idea to to look at the health score of all these restaurants, this one is new so it has a 100, check it in 3 months or whenever the do inspections. Also the people who give this a 5 star review also probably love Longhorns, so if you too feel Longhorns or Emilys or Charlies Italian restaurant is also amazing then disregard my review and by all means enjoy...
Read moreSo I honestly wasn't expecting much...ANOTHER Mexican restaurant in Ellijay. I thought it would be your standard fare, run of the mill Tex Mex....I was wrong.
Walking in we were greeted and then seated (in a booth near the bar) and our drink orders taken and chips and salsa were given to us. .. we looked over the menu noticing that there was indeed some "standard fare" however they have some things that aren't anywhere else... which leads me to a truly authentic chile relleno which I ordered a la carte. Now they don't put the tomato based sauce on it that I'm used to but if you ask, they do. Then there was my dinner choice which was the Burrito San Jose which was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC... full of flavor. It is a sizeable chicken and chorizo burrito with rice and beans inside and topped with queso and pico de gallo. I was shocked at how much flavor it had. My wife had the Flautas Mex (4 chicken rolled tacos) and a shrimp taco a la carte...she said the were really good. We also ordered churros to take home. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. We definitely...
