Hoshi Hoshi Bubble Tea & Crepes ( GR) — Restaurant in East Grand Rapids

Products are delicious. This review is about the customer service on this particular visit. Been here twice so far. The first time a couple months ago was great with no issues. This second time was on 8-2-25 around 4:30pm....the girl behind the counter taking orders and making them was was terrible. When she asked me if I wanted any toppings for my drink, I asked what kind of toppings were available and she replied "I dunno it's not my drink , I'm not the one drinking it ". I found this odd and rude. She also had high sarcasm in her voice whenever she said "you're welcooooooome" when I said thank you for something. I believe she also made a mistake in making one of our drinks but we felt like we didnt want to complain because we didnt want to deal with her longer than we had to. I also saw her making drinks for other customers and she would fidget and move awkwardly and do things like put her hands around her neck and stick her tongue out as if she was choking herself when customers would turn around.....This experience was extremely weird and awkward...all I know is that girl should not be in front helping customers in that state... Probably won't come back here for some time as long as she is...

Definitely might have a forever customer! Me and my fiancé love the options that they have versus other boba shops and you can customize your drink so many ways! For the price you pay for any drink, its very affordable and decently sized too. I haven’t tried to food yet but will in the near future and the place is very cute inside.

Every time I come here, it’s a different experience now and they’re usually my go to. Of late they have been a little off when it comes to their products. I usually order online because of convenience and if you see online, they don’t give you descriptions they just show you pictures so I almost always automatically assume everything they show in the picture is what the drink comes with. I always add Boba because I like extra Boba and i thought that meant extra boba. I order the same drink like I always do but this time I decided not to order extra Boba…. My drink didn’t have Boba in it at all…if I would’ve known that you have to order Boba in it in order for it to come with Boba like how they show in the pictures then I would’ve been doing that this entire time?? Because now I just basically have a blended shake with no Boba and a crème...

My boyfriend and I relocated to Grand Rapids a few months ago. We used to live two hours south from GR. Before we moved we would go to Hoshi Hoshi in Fort Wayne, IN. That location was still about an hour drive for us, but we would always make a day of it. We have tried various boba shops during our travels, but nothing was ever as good as Hoshi Hoshi. Recently, I was scrolling through boba shops near me in GR; trying to find one that would hopefully match the quality of Hoshi Hoshi in our new home town. We have gone to a few boba spots in GR and each one just never lived up to Hoshi Hoshi in Fort Wayne, but then...I saw a recently opened boba shop...Hoshi Hoshi in Grand Rapids?! Could it be that our absolute favorite boba spot was now just down the road from our new home?! We went in for a visit and found out that the owner is the sister to the owner of the Fort Wayne location AND our drinks tasted exactly the same. We are beyond excited to have this boba spot in our home town and highly recommend you check it out! We hope that it becomes your favorite, just as it has become ours!
