I went for the ablation of some back nerves today. To say that I am seriously frustrated is a complete understatement! I was told that I would be sedated at the level of a conscious sedation. I have had this MANY times when I went to Javery pain Clinic as well as my colonoscopy and other “smaller” out patient procedures. I was prepped with and I.V. And taken back to the procedure room. I wasn’t receiving anything for relaxation, so I asked if they had to wait until my blood pressure went down. I was told “no, that is normal to have that high of a blood pressure when you are on the table.” So, I kept waiting the I.V. Was in the crook of my left arm and I kept waiting for someone to put the medicine in. Nothing. NOTHING! I cried and cussed through most of the procedure because the pain was way more than I could bare. Dr Felix told me if I didn’t settle down, he was going to stop and redo it another day. The only reason I didn’t stop was because I knew I wouldn’t go back. The notes from my visit show they gave me 2 shots of Versed. That is a lie. They may have scanned it, so it could be accounted for, with I was not the recipient. For someone who has had any time of sedation should have had a blood pressure that was equivalent if not lower than coming in. My blood pressure was a full 20 points HIGHER during the procedure. I have had doctors actually give me more sedation during a procedure because I was so uncomfortable. I was treated like a juvenile and was told to stop acting that way. I have NEVER been is so much pain in my life! To lay completely still while this was taking place was too much. I cried for an hour after because I was so worked up. He never came to see how I...
Read moreLacks empathy. Indifferent to patient pain. Acted like he would rather be doing something else during appointment and barely looked up from computer. Wouldn't do nerve block same day as appointment & I had to drive back the next day when office is 80 miles from my home. Had severe pain after nerve block when I asked for alternatives because the only pain med that worked caused me to be unable to safely care for my kids, he offered another med with the same side effects profile. He then told me if I didn't like the side effects I should stop taking it. Offered no other pain management options and acted like he could care less than my pain was worse instead of better. Told me to get an MRI. When the MRI results came back 6 weeks later was told I don't have a pinched nerve. Never inquired if my pain had improved. I wished I had looked at his reviews before my appointment. There's a reason why he's rated so poorly across multiple...
Read moreMy doctor was not a good doctor..didn't even have my X-ray or MRI reports. And then he wanted to give me some over the counter nerve pill. I've had 4 back surgeries and currently have a siodica (spelling ) And said he won't give back injections for pain because it's only giving me half the relief.. I said I'd rather have half the relief then none at all.. He was very rude and talked down to me like I was an idiot. I will not continue to go to this ""clinic"" due to his inability to even look at my problem and just label me as being a dummy. And I will detour anybody I know that says they are going to this hack to find another doctor that will actually read a chart instead of just putting people in severe pain thru the hassle of finding another doctor at another clinic because he doesn't want to do his job and actually help people...
