KFC — Restaurant in East Haven

Quite possibly the worst, most disgusting, and just blatantly rude and concerning experience I have had in a fast food restaurant ever.

I had an order ready to be placed through the KFC app. I went inside the store before placing it to confirm the size of an item.

While I waited for an employee to be free to answer my question, I observed a man NOT in a KFC uniform walk the ENTIRE length of their cooking space carrying a dog... an actual, living, breathing dog, directly through their cooking space. This man took the dog left and through the side door outside.

OBVIOUSLY I was extremely perturbed. Before confirming my order, I asked to speak to a manager. The woman who confronted me explained that she was both the Store Manager, AND the wife of the man who came through carrying the dog. She justified it by saying the dog was being picked up and was only in the kitchen for "a second." Let me be clear here, I was in the store at around 7:20 PM. Her shift did not start at 7:19 PM. You would have to be substantial levels of foolish to believe that story, and regardless of the truthfulness of it, its still absolutely MADDENING that an employee in the food service industry could belive that this is acceptable behavior. There was a dog in the kitchen and that's absolutely disgusting. The fact that this woman shrugged me off and treated such an egregious violation of the Health Code (Public Health Code Regulation 19-13-B42) as if I were out of my damn mind to even bring it up, tells me this store is beyond repair, and never to be ordered from again regardless of how hungry, or desperate I would happen to be.

I've lived a block from this KFC for almost nine years and have ordered from them so many countless times that I don't even think I could give you an accurate estimation of the sheer amount of money I've spent there. Today I did not spend one penny, and after seeing a DOG in the kitchen, and now wondering just how many times this has happened and I wasn't privy to it, AND being treated like I was the unreasonable one for thinking this was wrong, this store will never even sniff a sale from me, and in the absence of something significant being done about this, KFC as a business will never receive another coin...

Ordered from Uber 08/21/2024 at 12:22 pm a 2 piece taste of kfc meal and buy 1 get 1 free 10 piece honey BBQ saucey chicken nuggets.

The 2 piece perfect mom liked it my meal I love their honey bbq saucy nuggets since been in and out of hospital wanted a good meal.

Well I didn’t get that.. on package and on receipt says honey BBQ but first bite made me throw up as it was spicy smelled like BBQ but tasted like Korean BBQ or something else as it was spicy and been dealing with bad stomach but honey bbq would been fine but that immediately gave my stomach a turn and well rest is history.

Normally spicy stuff wouldn’t bother me but being sick and having gastrointestinal issues spicy isn’t the best idea and lately triggers bad response.

Anyways I tried to contact them and no response called 10x as it was urgent as if they are giving out wrong food to people thinking if it prepackaged or whatever prior that others would be getting the wrong thing as well.

Did contact Uber but I was concerned that people would be getting a different item aka Habanero or Korean BBQ instead of honey BBQ which both receipt and container showed it was honey BBQ but was not.

I as kid loved coming here and always was a loyal customer but fact they can’t answer a phone with a real concern made me lose faith in this...

Waiting again the 2 nd time in a row I ordered online and there was something wrong and made me wait an extra 20 mins from pick up time. The first time I didn’t get the chicken I ordered they said they were out of breast and I had to settle for original chicken and still had to wait 20 mins. This time they did not have my pot pie that I ordered on line and said that I had to wait an extra 15 minutes because they just sold the one I purchased. It’s ridiculous I ordered at 545 for a pick up time of 615 that’s 30 minutes they had. Instead I have to wait longer again because I was told that they sold my pot pie. They said it will be ready in about 15 minutes past my my time. They also had the nerve to try to give me soda that was siting there for 15 mins. Will not be returning I still do not have...
