I recently had the pleasure of attending the production of "A Christmas Story: The Musical" at Broadway at Main in East Haven, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience!
The cast truly brought the characters to life with remarkable energy and talent. Ralphie, played by a remarkably talented young actor, captured the innocence and excitement of childhood perfectly. His comedic timing and heartfelt moments resonated with both children and adults in the audience. The supporting cast, particularly the actors portraying Ralphie's family and friends, delivered standout performances.
The production design was also impressive, with colorful sets and amazing projections that transported the audience to a snowy Indiana of not so long ago.
What truly stood out, though, was the warmth and enthusiasm of the entire production team. It was evident that everyone involved was passionate about bringing this holiday classic to life, and their dedication made the performance even more enjoyable.
Overall, "A Christmas Story: The Musical" at Broadway at Main is a delightful way to celebrate the holiday season. I highly recommend catching this show for a heartwarming and entertaining time that will leave you with a smile. Bravo to the entire cast and crew for a...
Read moreThis was my first time seeing a show here. The experience was more immersive & visceral than I expected & what a delight that was! The theater space is like walking into one of those shoebox dioramas, longwise, or that optical illusion box where you peek into a hole on one end to see the scene, except now you’re transported into it. So right away, the space is part of the art. And the design for the show utilizes the unique space perfectly. The show I saw was Misery, directed by Nick Rapauno. The performances were absolutely riveting. It’s a story so many are familiar with and yet it has all the tension & suspense of a first time as you watch it unfold. And they didn’t hold back on the scarier moments. I literally jumped out of my seat. I would 100% recommend this show if it wasn’t already sold out (and rightfully so) I can’t wait to see what they do with Mary Poppins & I will definitely return to see...
Read moreSo up front. I am a Theater Dad.
That said. I absolutely love CoM, BoM, NAHOPA, and anything that supports Mr. Billy, Mr. Neil, and Ms. Gina., as well as the entire staff.
Here is why.
My daughter joined the theater group because she found a love for performing arts. She now is in the Broadway program, the Rock Band. independent lessons w/Ms. Summer, and the Cabarets.
This program has been an amazing change for my family. We put it the work, but I appreciate the outcome.
The entire staff under Mr. Billy and Mr. Neil. are student focused, kind, but real. They don't give you a pass, they teach you the industry.
I am proud to be a Parent of this theater group, and if you have any questions, I am available.
Thank you CoMT for being a great community hub for performers, and us non performers that might wanna jump in.
I love you guys. The community has been such a positive impact on my family....
