No enforcement of social distancing, the server had dirty gloves..the picture shows the smudged edge of the inside of the container with frosting (same frosting smears on both edges inside the container yet our own cupcakes were not smudged, yikes were did that come from?) and the quality? Out of six choices five were dry. Not worth the trip, unlikely to try the trip again which is unfortunate as we've always had better quality and service in the past. Especially disappointing as it was my own birthday and this was the treat I choose to end the day. If you live in town or close proximity might be worth it, if it's a drive I'd skip for now. Update 20 July 2020 So the owner responded without responding, she listed what they have done to respond to Covid but did not respond to my three issues..then she closed with an insult that I should write meaningful reviews. Here are the issues Your staff did not enforce social distancing of customers Your staff did not use clean gloves on my order..the proof is that the cupcakes purchased were still in perfect visual condition however both corners of the container had frosting smudges..if the frosting did not come from our cupcakes, then it's obvious the gloves were dirty The quality was not as good as experienced in the past Not sure how you feel your response is polite or professional..you did not own any part of the misses from our day and close by insulting the reviewer. Read moreI have been going to this bakery pretty much since they opened. My son loves cupcakes. Yesterday I found myself at the salon in the same plaza. Initially I was not planning on stopping in. However I ran into a good friend and colleague outside of the salon. SMALL WORLD I thought to myself. He was getting cupcakes for our coworkers and his girlfriend. He went in and I followed shortly after. Thinking heck, I'll chat with my friend and get myself and my son some surprise cupcakes. My friend was the only one in the bakery so I went up to him while he was cashing out and we were just chatting. He was about to leave and I was about to make my cupcake selections when out of virtually nowhere a man came up to me, interrupted our otherwise friendly, upbeat conversation that lasted about thirty seconds and asked "do you want anything? are you purchase anything?" The tone indicated he was annoyed for some reason. I thought for a second maybe I was holding up the line but I looked and no one else was in the store. so I politely said "I'm going to get a cupcake" My coworker felt uncomfortable so he said a quick goodbye and took off. I was offended that this man seemed annoyed that I was even in there so I immediately changed my plan of buying multiple to buying one solitary cupcake. To make matters worse....he responded with "ok fine, but one cupcake is FOUR dollars" In a tone that gave me the impression that he assumed I wasn't willing to spend four dollars on a single cupcake. So I told him "ok? that's fine?" I was very annoyed and I felt like this man was unnecessarily rude. For no apparent reason. Read moreI called this bakery to try and schedule a tasting for wedding cupcakes. I am not from the area so I was trying to schedule everything I could for a certain day I would be there. The person I spoke to told me I had to email the owner unfortunately, I was driving and unable to take down the email information. I was transferred to a voicemail where I left a message. Over 3 weeks later my message had not been returned. I reached out on Facebook and got an auto reply with the email address. I sent an email requesting the tasting for the day I had requested in my voicemail. I was sent pricing information that was already listed on the website and was told they were booked for tastings but if I wanted to come in an buy 40 cupcakes I could taste them in my own home. The follow up and customer service is severely lacking. Definitely not giving this bakery my business and neither should you.
In response to the owners reply: I don't believe my voicemail was never received. I think that is just an excuse for poor follow up. I called to schedule with plenty of time to be able to book something for the date I had available. The owner of this business did not follow up with me in a timely manner and then refused to take ownership of that failure. If you are thinking of using this bakery for your wedding I would strongly re-consider. There are plenty of other places to go that will actually follow up and be responsive and not recommend you purchase 40 cupcakes to taste...
