I am a former employee and I've bitten my tongue long enough. The management, which honestly I wouldn't even call them that have no idea how to properly run a business. First they can't make schedules to save their lives, they don't have relief employees to take over when a shift is done. Either leaving them shorthanded or making someone stay later, regardless of what they may have going on after work, such as picking up children, etc. They don't really do interviews, they just hire whoever walks in the door looking for a job because 85% + of the employees quit within a month and that's being generous, usually it's a week. Very very very dirty restaurant. Food safety and health code requirements are not enforced here unless an owner walks in, hit even they don't truly enforce the rules because number one I've seen it myself, and two, it wouldn't stay the same as it was if they did enforce food safety rules. Food contamination was big, they would touch raw food them handle the customers order even though they have signs saying so Supposed cooked food will sit until they need it for a sandwich, so most times if you walk in busy or slow, a burger patty (for example 30+ minutes past the time it was supposed to be thrown out). A lot of heath hazards, no gloves, no washing hands, I'm really just scratching the surface. But the main thing I've seen, at least my opinion, was roaches. I've seen a lot, let's just put it that way. I promised myself that I would say something about all this right away but I didn't want to lose my job but now that I left I figured now was a good time as any. I'd suggest going to another McDonalds or at the very least actually I dunno if there is a very least, I'd stay away. By the way I'm not a disgruntled employee mad at them. I have a full time job already now, this was just a side job. Lol I just keep thinking of important things to add on, like a lot of employees are high or drunk/buzzed while working. This knave is held to such low standards it's really a shame. And the picture of the roach is not from the internet, that was taken by me in the kitchen area that connects to the front where the register is. I told managers a couple times and they just shhhhhh'd me or told me yeah I know. Again...
Read moreIf there was zero or no stars or negative stars I'd choose that in a heartbeat. I just worked a 13 hour shift at a local restaurant. Our kitchen closed before I got to order dinner. I stopped across the street apprehensively. I ordered food after confirmation of my order I was told cash only. Ok. No problem. Please proceed to second window. I paid my $9 and change and received my change with no receipt. As I sat and waited I noticed a home depot 5 gallon bucket sitting on the counter of the dining room. Also a sauce rack on the floor and no cups in the cup dispenser. I asked, is everything ok? Is your ceiling leaking? She said no. I inquired as to the bucket and the young lady said that's the waste bucket and it's her job to count what's inside in regards to food waste. This intrigued me as a food service worker. So, I took a picture. The young lady saw me and literally started yelling to her coworkers about me doing so. The drive thru window was open! I heard her! So, when she was walking towards me with my food, window still open, her still talking trash about me obviously I was very offended. I said to the young lady... hey, I can hear you talking about me and I can take a picture if I want to. She processed to be completely out of line being sassy and letting me know that when I arrived at her window she asked me if I still want food regardless of the bucket. I gave them the benefit of the doubt before this point. The situation was shady from the get go. Then got worse. When have you ever had an employee argue with you about sketchy things you can see? After she told me off I drove home and threw my food away since she had been saying bad things about me from the beginning. Who knows what happened behind the scenes. This place is literally deplorable. Employees are rude on a regular basis and the food consistently awful. The old sign they just took down should have simultaneously shut down the place and did a full on redo of entire place. I can't wait to speak to the general manager. Don't they do all of the hiring and overseeing of manager of shifts and staff? Yes they do. Biggest joke of a restaurant ever. Mc...
Read moreFrom a "dasher" perspective. I had an order and the manager told me there was an issue with the order. I contacted the customer and he told me there should not be an issue with the order as he didn't change anything. I sent the customer a screen shot of the order that I had on my phone and he confirmed that it was correct. I went back inside the restaurant and confirmed with the manager that the order was correct and he said that he was still texting with Door Dash in regard to the order and the changes and it would still be a wait. I relayed the message to the customer and continued to wait.. After 15 minutes of waiting and listening to the cursing amongst the workers and the girl exclaiming "i made that sandwich wrong again" as she places it in the bag, the manager says the fryer is fixed but it will still be a wait. I told him that he never said there was an issue with the fryer and that he told me the issue was with the order, he turns and starts throwing bags and walks away from me. I walk outside and contact the customer and explain to him that I am willing to wait if he wants although but he declines and states that he will request a refund. Relieved i drive away because my $5 compensation is long gone! As I drive off, next order is $8.50 and without looking at the location i hit accept. It's the same McDonald's. This is my last night doing Door Dash so I figure why not! I go back...walk-in. Manager looks at me, turns around and looks at the girl who can't make the sandwich right and starts laughing while I stand there without any acknowledgement. After 5 minutes, I refuse to not be greeted or told what is going on with the order that I am supposed to be picking up so I cancel the order and leave. So for a "door dash" behind the scenes perspective, if your order is coming at night and your dasher had to deal with the night time manager, that person deserves to be compensated extremely well above and beyond the...
