China Buffet — Restaurant in East Huntingdon Township

I'm not basing this review on a comparison of the best buffets and AYCE restaurants I've been to, as I have been to over 50, some of them being the best anywhere.

I'm basing this review on a comparison to the other buffets and restaurants in this area.

First off, the customer service is fantastic. Amongst Chinese buffets, definitely number 1 in terms of service and friendliness. The owner and the staff have a great repertoire with their customer clientele. I loved seeing the engagement as I dined with my family.

As other reviewers have stated, there could be a bit more variety, but for this area, it's passable.

Despite the lack of variety, the food they serve is good. At first glance, you wouldn't think that, but the food has good flavor, and not dry at all.

I have been going to the China Buffet at least once a month sometimes more for several years. I have tried other Chinese buffets around the area as well as in a few different states. I have never wanted to return to the others I have tried. The price at the China Buffet can’t be beat and the selections are just right…not overwhelming like most other places that have 3, 4, or more main tables with just too many selections. The quality is superior compared to other buffet dining. Of course I wouldn’t consider or expect any “all you can eat” buffet to be gourmet dining…however the atmosphere, the wait staff, the price, and service are perfect for a get together for 2 or 20. My family has gone to this restaurant for years and it used to be good the food and service was great, but the place has gone downhill over the past few years the food is rarely fresh the service is poor. My mom found a hair in her food and the waiter blantley accused my mom of putting her own hair in the food and asked “are you sure It isn’t yours?” Other waiters would bring one singular napkin when we’d ask for more (there’s four of us so 1 napkin wouldn’t do anything) when we asked about the food not being fresh the owners was rude and said if we want fresh food we have to ask the cook to bring out more. Considering it’s a buffet the food should be fresh all day nobody should have to ask for anything fresh. We’ve had a few times where we’ve found bugs in our food.
