My wife and I were in the area looking at her father's childhood home and running some errands. We wanted lunch and started looking for a diner. We drove by this place and turned around to go back. You'll miss it if you're not looking for small and non-descript. Great food, nice staff, kitchy decor. Apparently they make their own jams, sauces, etc. and can /freeze veggies in season for use later. We had the Coughlin's eggplant - not oily or soggy; butternut squash soup - creamy, flavorful; spaghetti soup - tasty; corned beef sandwich - simple meat on bread; onion rings - crisp, flavorful. Read moreCoughlin's is THE BEST place for breakfast and lunch in a 100 mile radius! I travel all over, from Boston to NYC, and I have found nothing as good as Coughlin's.
They have a the most Gluten Free items of any small or even large restaurant anywhere! From French Toast, Pancakes, and even Crepes!! Not many have that!
My wife and I go out of our way to eat at Coughlin's, and our only wish is, that they will open on Sundays! :)
All the staff is great! And, Gary the new owner is doing a terrific job of keeping the place to the high standard that we all have come to know and love.

Anne Marie who owned the place still works as does Lori and Dennis. Anne wanted to step away from the administration day to day so sold it. Literally nothing else has changed at all. Been coming here for years. I don't know what John's deal is saying what he is and giving two stars. Frankly I am disappointed with John giving two stars, because this place at least deserves a 4.5.
