I was excited to see that Sammi's was open after not opening last summer. Their Mud Monster Milkshake (mint choc w/ brownies) is the best shake I've ever had, and I have told many about it. However, though I figured the prices would have gone up, I was surprised by how much they did. ($4.95 for kiddie soft serve, $5.85 for small, $6.95 for a flurry) However, that's not my main complaint. They don't manage their inventory well. Just from the order in front of me and mine, I learned that they were out of hot fudge, vanilla soft serve, and mint chocolate chip hard serve. Those are all staples at any ice cream place. You just can't run out of those. So I couldn't get my Mud Monster Milkshake. This also wasn't the first time I haven't been able to get that shake due to them running out of the ice cream. Good stuff...if they haven't run out of what you want. Also be advised that it...
Read moreSammi’s regained my family as a customer yesterday and we’ve already been back twice. 😳the past few years, service had left a lot to be desired and every time I went, the prices were higher. It was $36 for 3 sundaes last year and I swore I would never go back. Yesterday my husband wanted ice cream and I said I didn’t feel like driving to get it but he said Sammi’s is right there and said “it’s just one time”. They updated to a POS system and it’s no longer cash only. The prices are consistent. We paid $21 for two sundaes and 1 med dish of ice cream with sprinkles. The sundaes were a great size, totally worth it. Went back today with my sons friends and had another great experience. If you’re reading this and you heard bad reviews- try them out again. They seem to have made the very necessary changes that...
Read moreI was excited to see Sammi’s reopen and even though the day was cold, decided not to wait to celebrate the springtime with soft serve. I ordered two small cones in dishes with cones on the side to take home. I was given the ice cream in uncovered dishes and handed the cones which had no paper around them by bare handed young women. Apparently not trained in food handling, in the best of times this would be unacceptable! I had tell them to put gloves on, cover the ice cream and give me fresh cones and please put it all in a bag. Turned off by the whole encounter, I couldn’t get myself to eat the cones and it put a damper on the ice cream which at $10.38 for two small cones is pricey. After going here for years, I will miss Sammi’s, but I value my...
