An absolutely excellent and underrated BBQ spot in Los Angeles!

It's very unassuming from the outside and has a small exterior-facing front, but there is seating available inside the restaurant.

You order at the counter for either dine-in or take-out, and they had our food ready for us in pretty much no time at all - like within five minutes!

Everything was pipin' hot - so fresh and delicious!! We chowed down on a bit of it there before taking the rest to go. I LOVEEEED the mac-n-cheese here!! I'm a self-proclaimed mac-n-cheese connoisseur, so it can make me feel either positively or negatively about BBQ and other food spots. Well, I can confirm that the mac-n-cheese here does indeed HIT, and is arguably some of the best I've had in the LA area. Perfectly creamy, cheesy, but still not too heavy. LOVE IT!

The rest of the food here is all excellent as well - perfect prepared pulled pork that I got as a sandwich. The beef brisket was also SO tender and delicious! I also appreciated the ample amount of pickles provided on the side - I love pickles while my partner doesn't, so I took all of them! What else? Oh yeah, the potato salad was also perfectly prepared and one of my favorites that I've had at a BBQ restaurant in LA!

Great affordable prices, delicious and well-cooked BBQ meats & sides, and very quick service! What's not to like?! Needless to say, I highly recommend and will be returning...

Ok so I've been saying for years look out when East LA gets a good BBQ spot it's gonna blow up! Except this place however has yet to blow and for reasons I really can't explain. So here's my first experience the owner goes over the menu with me in detail simple, but he explains it to me with such passion. I get excited as he he sets the bar really high!

That said it takes allot for me to write a review just moments after I visit an establishment. In this case however it's a must. My order was to go the first thing I tried was the pulled pork sandwich which the owner recommended. Wow I gotta say not a pulled pork fan, but this guy got it right for some reason it's delicious! The potato wedges.... Well I'll pass in the future wasted real estate in my opinion. Other than that this place is a winner potato salad cooked to perfection Baked Beans ..... Decent!!

Now for all the money people lets talk about the ribs. I've tried many throughout my days and these are at least in my top five. Smokey, fall off the bone tender, with great sauce. So come out and support this little gem in East Los You'll be glad you did trust me...

Quite amazing BBQ in LA, my mom thinks it may be the best brisket we ever had.

It's a little place on Whittier and there is some free 1 hour parking on the street outside. The two owners are great to talk to and oh so friendly. We ordered 3 plates and 2 sodas and didn't reach $40. The brisket was delicious (so much so that we ordered some more to go for later), not overly sauced, and the meat really shone through. Smoked chicken was juicy and flavourful, the ribs were meaty and the pulled pork (although listed as a slider, it's a sandwich in it's own right) was great - the meat was pulled but not stringy or too wet. Sides of macaroni salad and coleslaw were good, but the jalapeno corn bread was the item to go for (apparently not available on all days, so try your luck). The man behind the counter was kind enough to make a hot green tea for my mum, not on the menu but from his private stash. Service like that, coupled with the food we got, makes this a place I wish I had heard about sooner. It's a 25 min drive from Los Feliz where we were staying but this was...

I have taken risks when exploring new restaurants, but this was beyond comprehension. This was, without a doubt, the dirtiest and most disorganized restaurant I have ever encountered. It’s hard to understand how anyone could eat here and call it the best place for BBQ. The state of cleanliness was appalling. The bathroom was filthy, and according to the last recorded cleaning date, it hadn’t been cleaned since 1/16/24. The entire restaurant looked neglected—trash and bottles were scattered on various counters, a cluttered and dirty desk sat in full view, and the back entrance resembled an abandoned car shop, complete with piles of garbage and even an old, black truck. The first thing guests see when arriving? Overflowing trash cans right at the entrance. The level of disorganization was shocking, making for an uncomfortable and unsanitary dining experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I sincerely hope the owners take immediate action to clean up and restore basic hygiene standards. Until then, I would steer clear.

I been traveling miles and I mean miles for good Barbecue. I travel because East LA does not and has not had good BBQ. But I was wrong, for the last 6 years this small mom and pop joint has been making fantastic BBQ. I was skeptical when I walked in today, the owner gave ne a sample of the pulled pork with his slaw while I waited for our order. I fell in love with it from the first bite, it taste even better than it smells. I can not praise the food enough, remember it is cash only and is cosy for a small group. Large groups best get it to go. If ypu get pulled pork make sure you get the slaw, pairs perfect together. Sweet slaw balances the tangy bbq. Brisket is ridiculously delicious. And ribs are tender and perfectly done. I will let know about the chicken when I have room to try it. I hope they blow up so they stay in business, but hope not to big because I would hate to stand in line for an hour to get my food.
