If you're looking for something fresh, tasty, and "light" this is it. The renovation is amazing and so is the service and food. You can see how happy and proud they are with their establishment. As they should be.

November 2018 Edit: I absolutely love this place. So much so that I had to add more to my 2016 review. The owner is the sushi chef and rolls the sushi in front of you. Staff is super friendly and great short conversation always if you're into small talk, which i personally am. Been to all other sushi spots in the area and if I happen to be too late according to their schedule I'd rather wait for the next day....

Loved It!!! Best Fresh Sushi in East Los Angeles! Surprise! surprise! I was 😲 shooked! We ordered the Spider Roll, Avocado Roll, Rainbow Roll and the traditional Teriyaki bowl. There's a little Japanese Man making the Sushi all by himself. Extremely traditional so for your own convenience order ahead of time or don't go during peak hours. I waited 40 minutes but it was actually worth it! I devoured my food and realized I didn't snap a photo. So I only have a pic of Avocado Roll and Spider Roll,...

It’s a beautiful experience and everyone should go at least once. The food is great. Strangely the wait wasn't long even on a weeknight even though we had a call it in and we weren’t the only ones. It was stranger because there were some empty tables. My guess is that there were less serving staff. Ask for recommendations if you’re not sure what to order. We loved the yaki soda, dragon roll and yes they have kid options too though, California rolls...
