Winchell's Donut House — Restaurant in East Los Angeles

Decided to go here because my regular doughnut place was closed. As soon as I entered there where two men waiting and no one at the counter. One girl kept coming in and out of the kitchen and didn't say a word to acknowledge the paying customers although she was carrying a personal conversation with someone in the kitchen. Finally, one Spanish lady came out to help but she took her sweet time. When it was finally my turn I spoke to her in English and she only answered in Spanish I told her two cream filled doughnuts and pointed but she bagged two incorrect ones. I told her no, not those and pointed again and she bagged two more. I again said no, not those, i want these and she bagged them on top of the others. Ugh! My Spanish isn't my go to language and she upset me so in spanish, I told her what are you doing? I only want two chocolates filling not the others. Then she understood! ANYWAY, other things happened but I'll leave it at that. I thought this was going to be a quick doughnut trip, but instead it became a horrible doughnut story. The doughnuts and coffee where really good but the customer service really sucks which for me it will determine if I want to spend my money here or elsewhere, I've made my decision. I'll be getting my doughnuts at my local place, never going back because after reading other reviews looks like I'm not the only one who's had bad customer service...

There's 3 ladies at the counter...the one shorter is nicer with customers and give you suggestions and answers everything you ask...you can feel she cares about customer service. There is another lady with a mole on her face but she started her shift later. The taller lady is louder, seems like she has no patience with people who are not familiar with Winchell's menu. I order the breakfast combo I was told that wasn't too spicy but for some reason it was kind too spicy and dry for my taste, I went to the counter and request some mayo to lower down. Wow..wow..! The tall lady told me is going to be a quarter for that...and I told her the reason why...so then I said that I don't wanted (the bagel w/chipotle), and told me to order something else but she warned me that it's going to be dry because it's breakfast. Nicely the short lady came and found out about what was going on, she went to tell her to add mayo at no cost. Common sense right? I didn't ask too much. So for that reason I gave 1 star, only because the short lady always been nice with me...

Its funny how I was just there and all I ordered was a bagel sandwich and a donut. There was a few people, but I'm very observant when it comes to individuals who came into Winchells during a rush after I ordered; and realize that their orders are done and left in less than 5 minutes. The frustrating part is that I came in when there was a few people and I should have gotten my stuff before the people who came in that rush.. Very disappointing; I asked about it and one of the ladies was rude about it saying that we are completely orders that are before yours which shouldnt be any because the rush happened before I came in. Very frustrating too because they are unorganized with the orders even some other customer was upset about missing some items.. I understand how it can be a bit stressful because I work at a restraunt but never should there be a mix up on the order of the time frame with...
