China One — Restaurant in East Manchester Township

Omg! The food is amazing! Just moved down here in January and I had Asian cuisine from a restaurant down the street and thought, “I guess this is the best this small town has to offer“. It wasn’t until 6 months later that I ordered food from China One and was so pleasantly surprised. The person on the phone that I ordered my meal from was very nice, gave me an order number, total, and told me how long it would be. I could fully understand what he was saying. The food was going to be done in 15 mins and I didn’t order a small amount of food.

I was already impressed, but then once I got to the restaurant, which is about 1 mile away from me. I walked in with my mask on and seen that they had a full protective screen up to guard themselves and the public from COVID which is VERY smart. You walk up to the screen and there’s a microphone to talk into. My food was ready and neatly packaged in containers.

Now, finally the part you’ve all been waiting on... the food! Omg it was absolutely delicious. The wings were FRESH and HOT. Crispy and the flavor was impeccable. Reminded me of my home town where the Chinese food was better than any I’d ever tasted. The rice was fresh, yellow, and firm. The chicken and broccoli was what I ordered, and man it was great. My husband ordered the spare rib tips with pork fried rice and that was also delicious. We also got two egg rolls and even they were the bomb.

Literally all the food was fresh, delicious, and hot. I’ve had Peking down the street and just became accustomed to mediocre Chinese food because it was never freshly made, nor was it delicious. It was just hot. Also, the wait time is usually close to an hour. Plus, the prices don’t seem fair when the rice is clearly old and chopped into little pieces and the wings are clearly refried.

I will never order from Peking again.

Ps. I’m pregnant 🤰🏽 so I was literally craving Chinese food for weeks now but didn’t want to deal with eating “OK” food. Now, I’m hooked. And I’ve got about 28 more...

I went to pick up food here , gave dude at the desks a Wells Fargo debit card that read ATM card at the corner . He wouldn’t take it , he rudely said that they don’t accept Those types of cards there , and that I’m the first person to ever go in there with a card like that and try to buy anything . I was confused , it was a Wells Fargo issued Debit card , I use it for everything !! But he continued trying to belittle me in front of his co workers , and quiet honestly I felt like he was acting like this because he was a racist . His attitude was that of someone who doesn’t trust you inside of of their store and just wants you gone. If you care for this place still , the food was okay , I had to use my Apple Pay which was connected to the same card 😵‍💫 in order to be given my food . If it wasn’t because my co workers were relying on me to bring back their lunch I would of just left those plates there. The lack of respect in this one man was enough for me to say I’m no longer going over there , it can happen to you , or it may not , maybe this comment changes their characters around … or it may not … but today I felt discriminated against ,...

I’m only leaving a one star review bc I don’t have the option to leave less. This was by far the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had, and I’ve experienced an attempt at sweet and sour chicken in county lock up. I ordered general Tsos chicken and I’m not quite sure what I got, but it wasn’t that. I ordered extra spicy and extra crispy chicken and this dish was neither. I called in to complain about my bland, tasteless and Luke warm meal and the guy started with “when you let fried food sit”…I promptly explained that I’m a professional chef so save the excuses bc you messed my food up. He refused a refund unless I drove back my uneaten portion. I explained I was already back to work and wasn’t running back out. I then threw my uneaten portion in the trash, I didn’t even save the container to use for leftover food in the future which I always do bc I’m cheap. Save your money people this place...
