Hungry Hobo — Restaurant in East Moline

I usually am very satisfied with Hungry Hobo. The sandwiches are good and the service is fast and friendly. Today I went and ordered 2 steak and cheese sandwiches. Last time I was there I ordered the same but with an add of soup. I didn't get my soup and did not realize it until I got home. We live about 15 miles away so going back was not an option. I told them about the mix up and the manager said if I didn't call back that same day there was nothing she could do about it. She sent the young man taking orders out to tell me that without coming out herself which I think is poor management on her part. The young counter man was apologetic but you could tell he was uncomfortable. I just wish they would have offered a free soup and let it go at that. I had been charged for it but no. I am unsatisfied and will not be going back to that...

I just visited The Hungry Hobo and overall had a great experience. I highly recommend the Number 11 sandwich, it’s definitely the standout item on the menu. The food was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, and the atmosphere of the place had a cozy, casual vibe that made it a comfortable spot for a quick meal. While I really enjoyed the food and the environment, I did feel that the service could use a bit of improvement. It wasn’t bad by any means, but It didn’t feel top-notch. Sandwiches are usually very good. Today I called and ordered 4 sandwiches and was told that they would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrive 15 minutes later and told them that I was there for my order. The girl behind the counter looked, but could not find it, then she looked at the order pad, she then got a funny look on her face. They had not even started my order.
