Happy Garden Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in East Orange

UPDATE: Still my go-to spot for Chinese every once in a while. Unfortunately, the corner to this location has become a spot for people asking for money. Some of them will follow you into the restaurant to ask you in there, so please be very careful. While I understand this is out of this restaurant's control, it does impact how some of their customers might feel about coming back.

First time coming here and I was very satisfied. The service was good and the food was delicious. I ordered steamed mixed vegetables with white rice and an order of boneless chicken. The vegetables were cooked nicely and the chicken was crispy and plentiful. The white rice was quite a small portion but it was still to my liking. I used to eat here a couple years back but I moved a couple towns over recently and have been meaning to come back here for a dish. Most American-Chinese restaurants share similar dishes with each other, and the same goes for this location as well, minus a specialty dish or two. The food here has always been extremely tasty, and fresh for as long as I can remember. The ataff is super friendly and they also have the most professional phone line waiting service that reads out some options for you to possibly order once they get to your call. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area thats in the mood for chinese but dont want that generic panda...

I've been going here since the kid and one of the best things about it is when they deliver you can get them to deliver tobacco products late night when there's no stores open if you catch them before they're closed they will sell you Duchess Blunt fills black and mouth cigarettes or whatever it is that you need if you from these stories and you know that these people have been opened for at least 15 years I used to go there as a kid and I still go ditch the chicken wings are the best besit's are the best besides the Chinese store that sits on central Avenue,,,, It's socially yours...
