Sweets by Yami — Restaurant in East Orange

This was not my first time ordering a cake from this bakery and we have always been pleased. I ordered a cake for my son's graduation dinner. I sent a deposit and all the details, days prior. The day before the event, I received a text if I still wanted the order, I was annoyed because I had already sent the deposit and all of the details. I thought the deposit secured my order. That was straightened out. My parents picked up the cake and had to wait when they got there and were told to drive carefully with the cake. Within ten minutes of driving the cake was already leaning. After 20 minutes the cake fell completely apart. I texted the baker and she stated that someone must've hit the breaks hard. I responded and told her no. She then told me that 29 other people picked up cakes and there were no complaints. Needless to say we didn't have a cake for the graduation dinner and there was no attempt in trying to rectify the bakery's mistake. I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service and how my complaint was completely dismissed. I've ordered 6 cakes from her in the past year. The taste is great. I ordered a fondant cake in October it fell apart before even getting to the event. One of my cakes I had to cancel because at pick up time a time she chose, (which I was late for btw) wasn't ready on time and I was told by the staff, with attitude he wasn't sure what time it'll be ready. I recently ordered my wedding cake and got a fruit filling instead of buttercream filling (which I always order) because a couple of my friends and family members are allergic to certain fruits including myself and my son. I tried to reach out to her and she never replied or tried to rectify her mistake.
