My friend and I dined in on April 6th, and ordered a bone in Ribeye, upon receiving my bill I asked the waitress “Bree” for a to go strawberry lemonade with no ice. The waitress refused to serve me a regular sized lemonade even though I advised her that I was willing to pay for the lemonade to go. She then went and got her manager Landry to deliver two child sized lemonades to my table. When I declined the child’s sized cups and told her I wanted an adult size lemonade in which I was more than willing to pay for she then told me she was unwilling to sell me a lemonade to go. And walked off. A second manager “Alexis” then approached our table and said she was going to “talk to someone” when the second's supervisor returned and advised me that they were out of to go cups, but offered to give me a half gallon of lemonade to rectify the situation. This dining experience was both embarrassing and humiliating. It definitely should have never went to the point where I’m stuck having to explain my willingness to purchase a drink and the staff denying me opportunity to support the establishment because I wasn’t interested in a child’s cup as a 41 year old woman. Allison the manager that offered me the half gallon was very attentive and apologetic and I am grateful for her. What really upset me was when I told Landry that this felt discriminatory and that I wasn’t interested in a child’s size cup. She said “I’m not going to threaten her and began walking off” to which my reply was I’ll be contacting my attorney. All the original server had to do was say they were out of to go cups, I honestly would have been more than happy to purchase a half gallon, but this situation escalated because the server Bree told me they don’t give to go cups, which is false…. Anyone can purchase a to go drink. And Landry felt empowered by her superiority complex to deny me and my guest simple dining options. I eat at Texas Roadhouse often and have NEVER been denied the opportunity to purchase a non alcoholic drink to go upon the completion of my meal. I’m asking that a member of leadership review with the team table side manner and maybe even consider diversity, equity, and inclusion training so that guest coming into the establishment especially people of color like myself are not forced to be humiliated for wanting to purchase items for sale in the establishment. As the committee chairwoman of the racial justice committee of the local ACLU I have never been so embarrassed and disappointed in a dining establishment here in...
Read morei was absolutely disappointed at this restaurant. I called ahead to be on the waitlist for my mother's 65th birthday, I was transferred to the large party event coordinator ( we had 11 in our party) and was the first person to call that day to be added to the waitlist for a large party. When Arrived at the restaurant, I expected a wait, but what I didn't expect was that my party would be separated and seated at 2 different booths ( back to back booths). I was extremely upset that my family did not get to sit all together and socialize for my Mother's 65th birthday, and we had already waited 45 minutes past our 530 waitlist call ahead. We where basically separated as a family which created a poor experience. We had 2 different servers, and the other table got their food before the other, so waiting on others at different table to get their food and finish so we could do cake. Which also made us feel so separated. We all had to move and stand in the aisle to wish my mother a happy birthday. It was a terrible experience for her birthday and I was so disappointed for her. I did talk with the manager ( laney) and was told that the restaurant could not push tables together as the tables where bolted to the floor, and only had one table in the restaurant that could accommodate such a large party. She said we where to be originally at the table that could accommodate such a large party of 11, but was given to a smaller party. I wish on the original phone call to the event coordinator it would have been mentioned that the restaurant could not accommodate a large party at one table, and that we could be in different booths. I would have choose another restaurant as I simply don't want to go out to eat with my family and be separated from them and conversations. The servers where nice and food was good, but the atmosphere made this a terrible experience for my mother's 65 birthday. In a world where it's expensive to go out and eat, and my family doesn't get together often- this was absolutely not worth my money. To say I was disappointed is a great...
Read moreWorst Experience (also our first and last experience) at Texas Roadhouse in East Peoria, Illinois-- Disgusting. The Manager, Tara never once acknowledged the issue or approached our family being that we were directly across from it and actually were the ones who alerted them and reported it to the servers. The lack of leadership and professionalism matched the quality experienced. This was Saturday night, 9/7/2024.
Update: While I appreciate you reaching out directly on this platform, sending out a pre-generated “copy and paste” templated email in response to a detailed summary of events you requested to be completed on your company webpage (which I took the time to do) because “Rest assured that we take every guest concern seriously, considering each a valuable chance for improvement” - simply does not suffice. It’s unacceptable. Clearly, formulating an incident specific email was too much for your leadership team to do as well. You can’t just slap on a $60 voucher to the email sent and wash off the fact a mouse was running alongside us for dinner and no one had any haste or initiative to rectify the situation until demanded of them. It was a dinner for 6 that was ruined. $60 isn’t event enough to fill up the gas tank and make the effort to give you a second try.
Thanks but no thanks. I value companies that stand firmly on their quality and Customer Experience. They are both equally important. It’s unfortunate that time and time again, your company continues to fall short at every opportunity...
