First time to visit the Winter time in Peoria! Relaxing and roaming in this town :)

Now I know that Peoria is ranked as the best place to live in Illinois by US News & World Report.

And it is actually the coldest month of the year in Peoria is that is why, an average low of 20°F and high of 34°F.

Peoria is home to many notable residents, like Tami Lane, the Chronicles of Narnia make-up artist and horror writer Dan Simmons.

I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby and needed to find a walking trail nearby. This one was the closest and literally started from the parking lot of my hotel. Not a super long trail, but it gets the job done for getting some exercise while on the road for work.

The walking path is entirely paved with asphalt and well maintained. What is really nice is the path takes you by the bridge and waterway into Peoria. Very scenic.

Tip: For REO Speedwagon fans, stop by the bench by the water that is dedicated to one of its founders of the band, Gary Richrath,...

Absolutely love this park!!! Such a nice relaxing spot to just sit back and do nothing. Also along the fence, couples put a lock on which I thought was really cool. So of course we went right over to Walmart and got one to put on the fence. Just make sure you're out by 10:00, the signs make it very clear that you will be arrested if you're caught out there after 10. We'll...

I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby and needed to find a walking trail nearby. This one was the closest and literally started from the parking lot of my hotel. Not a super long trail, but it gets the job done for getting some exercise while on the road for work. The walking path is entirely paved with asphalt and well maintained. What is really nice is the path takes you by the bridge and waterway into Peoria. Very scenic. Tip: For REO Speedwagon fans, stop by the bench by the water that is dedicated to one of its founders of the band, Gary Richrath, their guitarist.
