Visited Mama Albas over the weekend and was extremely disappointed. when you first walk in there’s fresh cakes and lots of pies. It to have a great vibe and great diner type feel.. Once we sat down and were greeted by our waitress, the entire vibe changed. There must have been some issue with some of the waitresses, unless it’s normal for them to give each other such attitude and dirty looks. We sat and ordered our food almost immediately after arriving. Our waitress let us know about 25-30 minutes in that there was a large party before us and our food should be ready soon.. Once the 40 minute mark hit, we decided to leave since it was just breakfast food we ordered and didn’t seem to understand why it was taking so long. I understand that large parties can throw off the morning or flow, but 40-45 minutes for breakfast food, seems a bit ridiculous. We went to the register to pay for our drinks and felt like we were doing something wrong by the way the waitresses were acting. There was one specific that could not make a smile for the life of her and it was extremely uncomfortable to be around. I’m sure people who are in large groups or maybe don’t pay attention to customer service as much don’t see the looks and glances but it’s extremely unprofessional. We tipped our waitress for her time and still couldn’t hold her attention. Everyone working seemed to be worried about 100 other things instead of focusing on customers. 40 minutes for $10 worth of...
Read moreWe ended up having a family emergency and had to rush out not being able to eat at the restaurant and had to take our food to go. My family members were jumped by the owner as to why there was no tip for the 2 go order. This was extremely inappropriate. I tip when I dine in at a restaurant. The restaurant got plenty with the $60.00 we paid for unconsumed food. The women literally seen that we had an emergency. It is ultimately the business owners responsibility to pay their staff. The owner needs to learn some manners. Had this not have happened we most likely would have went another time to try the place.** Update also apparently the owner is very dishonest I have my receipt no one ordered deserts and I was served Raw chicken which I had to fully cook at home. Not one of us ate our meal there. I should have reported the uncooked food to the...
Read moreDiners typically serve food out of a bag or a can that's been cooked and served up. Not Mama Alba's. Been there 3 times so far and the food is fresh. Donna and her staff are pleasant.
I see some comments on low salt etc. But if the food is low on salt, it works great for a mixed table where some like it low and some like to add more.
They're a bit slower than average diners but that's probably because their food is fresh - it takes longer to come together.
If it's like eating at home, and I don't need to cook, then no matter the kinks, like, longer wait time, I would support local. I'm definitely going back..And the added plus, their...
