This used to be where our favorite restaurant Liki was, some years back. Exterior of restaurant was decent, its name clearly marked on the awning. However, for those who are not regular customers the front door and windows are covered by paper from the inside, with only the lighted "Open" sign visible telling everyone that they're in business. We somehow understand they're trying to evoke a feeling of Japanese vibe with the use of parchment-like paper as cover, but at least there needs to have some visibility to its interior from the part of its would-be customers.
No other guests were dining in upon our arrival. The staff are pleasant and friendly. The one who served our food was responsive and showed genuine care as to how we're doing with the food.
Speaking of our food, it is average in our opinion. The Tonkotsu Ramen was tasty, but it has lesser ingredients compared to the Ramen House we go to in the Exton area. The Spider Roll is quite good, though we prefer lesser fillings such as the cucumbers and green bean.
We had a pleasant experience in this restaurant. But it's hard to put this in the same level as the other Japanese restaurants that we normally go to in the Upper Merion...

Despite clearly being tired and already in the process of cleaning up they accommodated our request to dine in with professionalism. The food was excellent. Ramen was top notch and the Chilean Seas-bass sashimi was so fresh and light with a delicate natural sweeteness. All in all the staff was great, they entertained my poor attempts at Mandarin with a light heartedness I found refreshing. I will definitely be returning as we've finally found our go...

I ordered a Tonkotsu Ramen with chili oil for take out. I got there a bit late, and it took a while to get back home, but it was still hot when I sat down. The broth is kept separate, so you're able to easily heat that up before adding it to everything else.
Each bite had a ton of flavor. The ramen egg was perfectly cooked. The noodles themselves were at just the right firmness. The char siu melts in your mouth. I don't like bamboo shoots usually, but I ate every single one because they were delicious. The portion is great and I'm absolutely stuffed.
The price is fair, and is around the same as other ramen places near Philly, but the flavor is exceedingly above the norm. Give this...
