This may be my #1 Cheesesteak for 2019. Shaved prime rib. Shaved prime rib. This is a cheesesteak aficionados cheesesteak, roll, meat & cheese. This is a Brewhouse aficionados cheesesteak, $6 24 oz draft. This is a Sunday afternoon watching Da Birds aficionados cheesesteak, many TVs in a big bar area. This is a after sitting on the kids soccer field sidelines aficionados cheesesteak, big menu - sidebar please let me know if the whole soccer team is coming so I can go somewhere else. Sesame seed roll, provolone cheese, sliced roast beef. $16, it did come with french fries and they had a 24 oz draft for $6 on the menu and it was amazing so I'm really torn about the $16. Overall great experience. PS Carole asks for well done french fries.

I tried the beer sampler, six 5-oz samples of your choice for $12, and my favorite was Grisette Summer Ale (5.6 ABV) a Belgium-style thirst quencher that was very tasty! I also really liked the Royal Weisse (5.6 ABV) medium-bodied Bavarian-style wheat beer that was a bit fruity. I have been several times and all of the food that we have tried so far has been absolutely delicious. We recommend the Jamaican jerk wings or the nachos for an appetizer … you can’t go wrong with either one. The wings were incredibly tasty and the nachos have a really healthy and fresh flavor … probably because of the avocado sliced on top. We also recommend the chicken pretzel sandwich, and the hot roast beef sandwich … and, the french fries are delicious.

We had a pretty good experience stopping in here. It has a similar menu as the one in Reading, but not all the same items are available. It's been a long time since we have been to Pottstown to speak to that as well. Overall, it was good. The food tasted good. The wings are big. The burger was tasty. The sausage and peppers were good, too. The beers were good. There are definitely more beers that I would like to try. The place was clean and inviting. One thing that soured our experience, even though it's not the restaurants fault, was one group's overly loud wild children. It was enough to make us leave and not stay after the food was done.

The food was good, but not good enough to justify the terrible service. We came in tonight (Saturday) at 5 pm. It was not busy - only a few tables seated when we arrived. We were seated right away, got drinks, then waited 25 minutes before someone came to take our order. After that we did not see or speak with our server for almost an hour. At 6:15 my husband asked the hostess if she wouldn’t mind checking on our food since we had been seated for an hour and 15 minutes at this point, and our server had not come back to our table since taking our order. Ten minutes later out comes our server (who we realized now was also the bartender) with our food and a huge attitude. She proceeded to scold and gaslight us that we “hadn’t waited as long as we think we did” and there are “other people here, not just you”, implying that we were unreasonable in asking about our food. My husband said he wasn’t going to argue with her, but wanted to make sure we weren’t forgotten about since we’ve been here for almost an hour and a half. She didn’t apologize or even acknowledge that she had probably forgotten about us, since it’s pretty standard for servers to check on their table, get another round of drinks etc. while waiting for food to come out, and she hasn’t done that. She begrudgingly comped my husband a beer, and we ate quickly and left. There are so many good restaurants in Phoenixville that it’s not worth it to go to this one when the service is mediocre on a not busy night. Do yourself a favor and check out one of the many other...

Went with a group for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. They have changed the service to counter only unless you sit at the bar. Our party had four adults and two kids so we sat at a table. We figured we would have a beer or two then order appetizers and then lunch. Every time someone wanted a beer or the kids wanted something to drink they had to go to the counter, order and carry the beverage back to the table. When it was time for appetizers we had to do the same thing. The only difference was a food runner brought out the food. It was all chaotic. Conversations were interrupted. If I wanted to go to a fast food type atmosphere I would have went to McDonald's. I asked the person at the counter why they did away with the servers. The answer was to save us, the consumer, money. He also added it is hard to find people who want to work. My check did not show any savings. What do servers make? $2 an hour plus tips? The topper though was at the end of the meal I had to go back to the counter to pay the tab. You have all seen the tablet that flips back and forth. When he flipped the tablet to me it asked how much I wanted to tip. What the actual (expletive deleted)? Were they going to split the tip between everyone at our table for doing the servers job? Just another example of corporations maximizing profits at the expense of ordinary people. No one in our party will...

So I called Sunday to confirm operating hours for Monday Sept 13 (and checked Google and Facebook for hours) and found the place is open till 9 pm. So my wife and I drove 63 minutes (each way) on a toll road to get there with our out-of-town guest, arriving at 7:15 pm. Outside beirgarden music was playing, all the exterior party lights and the inside lights were on. It looked very inviting. We approached the door and saw a bartender talking to a customer at the bar, but the entrance door was locked. The bar tender paid us no mind, and continued his conversation with the patron. We looked for a second entrance thinking we must be trying the wrong door. After all, who would close 2 hrs early, leaving the outside lights on, music playing, and a customer at the bar, and no sign saying closed?

Eventually we went in the out door to hear the bar tender say they closed early. Today when I called they said they close early when they don’t have customers. Very disappointed with this establishment. We went to Root Down Brewing in Phoenixville and had delicious beers and food there. It was not too crowded but had lots of people there. Service was spot on and they had a...
