Received a gift certificate to this establishment so we decided to give it a try. I’ll start off with the the drive to the Tavern, as I had put the address listed on the certificate, into my GPS and come to find out the address was incorrect considering we pulled up to someone’s home (ended up googling the place to find the correct address). Upon arrival, we were seated immediately by a nice gentleman at the door. Once our server came over we had mentioned such issue regarding the certificate inaccuracy and she didn’t really seem to care or that she would’ve passed the message onto management (which I thought was odd). After such conversation, we were given bread and corn bread which, the corn bread was pretty good & moist. We then put in for our drinks (red wine and sangria) along with an order of Calamari. The drinks were good however, I thought it was strange that my first glass of sangria came to me in a mason jar w/Maraschino cherries then the second, in a wine glass with an orange garnish and drink umbrella? As for the Calamari, super small pieces but, other than that it was okay. Our entrees then arrived, in a timely manner. We ordered one of their specials for the evening (Chicken Saltimbocca) and a Greek Salad with grilled chicken which again, pretty good. The music was of an odd combination, there were several different genres playing which makes it confusing as far as the atmosphere goes. Service and overall experience was decent.
I’d like to add that the parking is very limited as the lot is...

Never was asked how everything was. I’m pretty specific when I order, because who wants to walk extra steps for ranch dressing that never came. And I can see you on your phone in the kitchen. And no apology. Asked for it twice. Who cares? Right? Whatever. I should’ve known that the Cuban was going to suck. I should’ve known. It was practically thrown together like a dry McDonald’s cheeseburger. I just wanted pickles that I asked twice for. Never came! My wife’s Shrimp Scampi was inedible. How do you boil the shrimp and be okay with that presentation? I think my wife is still chewing on the first piece she put in her mouth. The pasta was over cooked, and the sauce was in your face, too pungent. Can I have a refill please! No where to be found. Now. Ultimately, it was the service that ruined the experience. If the server had any personality and if we weren’t ignored for the entire experience we would’ve been willing to try something different. We would’ve talked it out. If you don’t want to be there, don’t work there. The manager did come over to...
Read moreCame across this place from a video review posted on Instagram. I decided to take my mom yesterday for Mothers Day. I seriously can't wait to go back. If you are a fan of Portuguese food, make it a stop on your list. Started off with an order of the Shrimp Mozambique, which was very good and spicy ( i should have gotten an order just for me, lol). I posted a picture of my meal which was the "Steak a la Berta" which was a Sirloin topped with a fried egg, bacon wrapped dates, served with a side of brandy based sauce, fries and rice. So much flavor, and very filling. My mom chose a cod special that was on the menu, which she was very happy with. Side note on the service: the waiters/waitresses were all very good and attentive. The hostess ( didn't catch her name, she might even be an owner or manager) was VERY helpful. English isn't my moms first language, and the hostess spoke Portuguese and was able to help her with how the food was prepared and then talked to her a bit and made her feel comfortable. The place is nice and clean as well. I will definitely make it a point to come back, best of luck...
