Jack's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in East Ridge

I really don't know how so many people have given this place a poor score. I've been there thrice now and haven't had any issues. Service was fast, but the times I went, I was one of only two or three other cars at the most. I've tried the basic burger with two patties, fried chicken sandwich, and the chicken tenders. I liked all three. I actually prefer burgers with one patty, so I just picked one off but otherwise it was hot, had decent looking toppings, and was as good as I expect a fast food burger to be. As for the chicken sandwich, I like that the chicken was not bigger than the bun. I hate when it sticks out on the sides of my sandwich. Also on the subject of buns, theirs are so good! Their website calls them artisan buns but I'm assuming it's kind of like a brioche or something...soft and buttery. I'm a big fan of Zaxby's chicken tenders, crinkle fries, and Zax sauce. But I don't have a Zaxby's close enough for me to want to drive to it often, so I'm glad that Jack's has a similar item. Their Comeback sauce is very similar to Zax's sauce. I had made an online order that ended up costing $60. They told me it would be ready in a half an hour. When we got there 30 minutes later they haven't even started doing the order yet. They started preparing the vegetables let them uncovered, and walked away and went to do the drive-thru. I mean just the whole thing the attitudes the functionality of the crew with like a 0 star. Then we get back home we realize they left out a whole 10-piece chicken and four biscuits I ordered extra. When I go back to the restaurant they act like they don't know what I'm talkin about and telling me they can't pull the order backup well first of all you didn't know how to pull it up in the first place. And you're telling me after all the issues we had I was just in here had a huge order and you can't remember what I'm talkin about. The woman behind the counter talking all kind of crazy. I don't care about Kobe 8 or none of that if you want to work in customer service have some customer service or just go home. Came by around 12:45 for two large fries with light salt. I requested light salt 3 times while in the drive threw. We get our fries then park the car. We pull out the fries and take a bite. They are fresh, but overly salted. I pull up to the window and ask for a refund. The small gal says okay and hands my receipt to another big gal. I could hear everything being said with the window closed. The big gal said I peed her off because I wanted a refund. Then proceeds to ask the smaller gal how much my order was. She tells her I gave her a $10 dollar bill for 2 large fries. The big gal starts cussing the f word about 5 times and says I ruined her day. The laughing ensues. Then the big gal opens the window and hands me a $10 dollar bill because she apparently doesn't know how to do refunds. She only owed me $6.47 for 2 large fries.

I was very polite when I asked for a refund. I wasn't rude, bossy or mad. I just did not want to wait another 3 to 4 minutes for fries, I had to get home.
