Teriyaki of Japan — Restaurant in East Ridge

RUDE AND CONDESCENDING, AND STEAL YOUR MONEY. I used to frequent Teriyaki of Japan, until my last experience. Now, none of my 5 roommates nor I will ever return. I ordered my usual over the phone, the exact same thing I get every time, the same way. It was an order of crunchy crab rolls and an order of the crab rangoons. My roommate went with me as well and ordered The. Exact. Same. Thing. We get there, pull up at the drive through, and the lady mumbles a total that sounded high, so when she came back, I clarified that me and my roommate’s order were separate. And, I handed her my card, a grave mistake. She charges me for 6 orders of crunchy crab rolls and said that she clarified with me 3 times when I ordered that it was 6. She was so rude to me while I was fighting back tears pleading for a refund. I am a poor college student, and this was a lot of money to me. She also literally lied and said she’d have to pay for it like I haven’t worked in restaurants for years. She told me the best she could do was to refund me about a 1/4 of my total, which she did. Paid $20 for nothing, my noodles were very soggy, but the chicken was fresh. I initially ordered the teriyaki chicken half and half (noodles and rice) with veggies. I got my food and drove a 40 minute drive home. I arrived home and realized my noodles were soggy and there were no veggies. I called and I tried to go back to the restaurant but she insisted she wanted to go home which they’d be closing in 45 minutes…she insisted I come by tomorrow and get a free small veggie… but I paid for veggies with the food I ordered.. then she went on to say I didn’t order veggies but offered to give me free veggies the next day.. huh??? why would I want a a side of veggies only the following day??? And if I didn’t pay for veggies why would you offer me free veggies??? Any professional business would offer to replace the whole order due to there mistake.. the lady continued to argue with me.. I just hung up the phone. I’ll never go here again. A waste of money… the noodles were old and the food period is not as good without the veggies...

Usually the service is really nice however tonight the cashier lady were extremely rude. When we pulled up to the order window the lady told us we HAD to call in (never have before), so we tried to call twice (in front of her) and the phone didn’t even work. She closed the window in our face, talked to some people in the back and did something with the phone the opened the window back up and told us to do it again (worked this time) then made us talk to her on the phone while she was looking straight at us and waived us out of the window. Then on top of that didn’t even get the order right! Totally unprofessional and rude to customers. The cashier lady needs training on how to deal with customer obviously. Don’t tell people the only way to order is to call in and then have a broken phone line. She and this WHOLE situation...
