Artisan Home Bakery — Restaurant in East Rutherford

I was craving some sourdough bread yesterday morning and wanted to try out Artisan Home Bakery. When I drove over, I realized that there was no store front and I called the number to learn that you have to make orders in advance and they’ll deliver the bread to you straight to your home!

I was so bummed about not getting sourdough, but Maria at the bakery told me she had just one loaf left for Friday deliveries and offered that one to me!!

Oh my goodness, it was heavenly!!! The outer crust was so crisp while the inside was chewy and moist. I tried pressing down on the loaf of bread just to see how quickly it would rise back up, and the bounce was unreal. From the moment, I took the loaf out of the bread, you could immediately smell the sourdough. UGH so fresh!! I checked out the website and saw that they have pastries and sweets as well as full loaves. I’ll be sure to check the other products too!

An absolute local gem!!...

I stumbled on Artisan Home Bakery and after seeing all they have to offer I decided to give it a try. When my husband and I were in Spain and Portugal this summer, he LOVED the multigrain croissants. I couldn't find them anywhere around here, so when I saw it on the menu I knew I had to surprise my husband for his birthday. Melissa is awesome! She was so accommodating with the order, but the BEST part was my husband said these croissants were just as good as what he had when we were away. He couldn't get over how delicious they were and I would have to agree they were top notch! We also ordered the turmeric/black pepper sourdough and ciabatta. They were also outstanding! The quality of the products are not just due to the quality ingredients being used, but the person who's making it as well. The passion Melissa has is so evident in her products. We will enthusiastically order again...

From start to finish, everything was perfect! The communication was clear and friendly, the packaging was absolutely beautiful and thoughtful, and the delivery person was so kind, and cheerful, such a pleasure to meet. Your company truly shines when it comes to customer service.Kudos to you for making the whole experience so smooth and pleasant. So, If you love sourdough this is definitely the person to order from. The bread is so fresh, with that perfect balance of a tangy flavor and a soft airy inside. You can really tell it’s made with care and high-quality ingredients.
