I placed an order through Viva Margarita's website on cinco de mayo. I knew this would be a very busy day for the restaurant, so I placed the order at about 9 AM for pick up at 6:30 PM. I received a confirmation email and then went to pick up the food promptly at 6:30 PM. When I arrived, there was a line out the door of people waiting to pick up online orders. I went inside and gave my name after about five minutes and the hostess went to the kitchen to check on my order; I heard her in the back say my name and assumed they were packaging up the order, as it was quite large. About 30 minutes soon passed, and I again gave my name and told the hostess I had ordered at 9 AM. She knew the dollar amount of my order and that it was a large order, and again went to check on it. More time passed, and others around me were inquiring about their orders, so I again gave my name. At this point the hostess said there were no more orders in the kitchen, despite having known the dollar amount of my order previously. The hostess stated that all of the orders had somehow been lost or misplaced, and that the ten people waiting, myself included, would have to place new orders. This was after 50 minutes of waiting for my order. We all then had to reorder, and wait an additional 20 minutes for the food to be ready. I received my order and went home, only to find I was missing three items that I had paid for. I drove back to the restaurant and was given the items; never was there an apology or offer of a discount regarding all of the inconveniences. The food we received was mediocre. To top it off, in one of the side orders of black beans we received, there was a large chunk of something we could not identify and a RUBBER BAND. I will never go back to this restaurant and would not recommend this...
Read moreMy mother and I dined here on Labor Day of 2020. It was our first time dining at this location during the pandemic. They had a tent covering the tables and guests which was great because not all places have the tent. We were greeted within 6 minutes. The first thing I noticed were the flies. I highly recommend the owner putting up fly traps immediately if he is going to continue outdoor dining, because they were all around us throughout our dining experience. They serve you salsa and chips on the house which was great! My mother and I had a difficult time trying to find something on the menu that wasn’t a burrito, taco, or an enchilada. We just wanted a steak served with a few sides. In the end, the waitress provided us with just that, a $21.00 dish. The steak had a great quality of meat! However, my mother and I were very disappointed with the flavoring. It had ZERO flavoring, not even salt. I was very surprised. I assumed any good quality steak like that would be marinated. I was really shocked. It also came with a bed of onions which wasn’t so appealing. The rice and refried beans that were served with it tasted great. However, they give you such a ridiculously small portion that it was laughable. The portion would have best suited a child no older than 8. The portion size is a joke. I think the owner should definitely increase the amount of sides served. Other than that, our experience was okay. They seem to have a very colorful menu of drinks so if you enjoy having a drink in your hand, definitely give this place a try. I hope the manager will start seasoning the steak and give bigger, “adult...
Read morePricey and not worth it. Food was bland and tacos disgusting. First time I was here and I didn't like it. Food looks good, but that's it, doesn't taste the way it looks at all!! I regret going to that place. With the amount I payed, I coul've spent it on food that would've actually been worth it. I din't even like the drinks. The menu said snapples but when my daughter asked for one they said they had none. I asked for agua de Jamaica, hibiscus fresh water and it was extremely sweet, didn't taste like fresh agua at all! My son had the tacos al pastor and eww they were nasty he didn't even finish them and he usually loves tacos al pastor, those are his favorite but he said they tasted weird. My daughter ordered the carnitas tacos, all taco orders btw come with 3 tacos. The carnitas I think they were $11! Not worth it at all! The meat had a disgusting flavor, it tasted bad. The pico de gallo tasted old as well. Overall, I hated the food! Wouldn't go to that place again. Don't bother going there, you'll be dissapointed if you really enjoy good food. If you don't mind paying a lot of $$ for mediocre food then this is the place for you but if not then you'll regret it,...
