Normally go to the Stroudsburg pool, where I pay the fee as a resident. Since they are alternating days open, I took my grandson to the pool in Dansbury Park. Unfortunately, I was charged as a non-resident. Besides the pricing difference, we both enjoyed the pool & we're very happy they were open - especially since it was so hot that day, and the only day that week it didn't rain! If they go back to charging me as a resident (as they have for the last 6 yrs), I may just buy the season pass again. Pool and surrounding area is very clean, and everyone respects each other's belongings. All-in-all, we had a blast!

I am a resident the kids love the pool every summer. The young people are working there however respectful some of the kids was my daughter’s friends from school from swimming class. Hope she next summer there she loves swimming and take this swimming classes. I love how all the children know each other from the neighborhood, public school and high school and they were very nice to family members that come over. They are not residence, but they are really respectful to everyone. just need to upgrade the lifejackets for the children

Our visit was early January. This was a fun stop for the kids. There is a playground, a skateboard park and basketball courts. There is also plenty of parking. However, there are no washrooms available, and the park is very run down, in need of maintenance.

My 4 year old granddaughter and I arrived at 3:58 for the 4:00 -6:00 swim price. My granddaughter had to use the bathroom quickly and she started to go back. Then the guy said you have to go with her and they charged me $14 instead of the &8. I came back out and said, wait why did I get charged a full day price and he said because it was 3:58. I said we only went in to have her use bathroom because they said I had to. I asked for a refund of the over charge and he said no. I think it would have been a common courtesy to say you can come right back out after she uses bathroom to pay the $8.00 fee instead of having to pay like almost double for her to use the bathroom! I understand that she wasn’t allowed back to the bathroom without me and that’s not the issue. The issue is they could Have let us use the bathroom and then came right back out to pay 2 minutes later! This was our first time here and we are locals. I just think it could Have been handled better. It made what was supposed to be a fun time very aggravating! So because we are decent and actually use the bathroom and not go in the pool we get penalized. I will take down this review if and when I...

It was okay for a park, the one thing I didn't like was that the bathroom in the building was closed/locked for the season. Then when my family went to use the porta potty it was EXTREMELY DIRTY!!!!! Someone's POOP was all over the floor and all over the toilet seat, used toilet paper was all over everything. IT WAS NASTY... WE WERE REALLY DISCUSSED AND GROSSED OUT OVER IT... I would at least think that because the porta potty was at a park with little kids needing to use it it would of been clean at least for the kids sake, but then again I guess I was wrong. I guess if I decide to take my kids back there I will have to make sure they go to the bathroom before we leave the house, and if they have to go after we get there we will have to leave because I WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO GO INTO SOMETHING THAT...

I would like to start by saying that this pool has a lot of potential. However it is lacking major maintenance. The the ground in the splash pad is disintegrating, along with other areas of the pool. The furtherst pool has, what appears to be, sludge or algea at the bottom of the pool. It is also obvious that the pool is not cleaned regularly as debry and used Band-Aids can be seen floating in the pool. The entire pool and bathrooms can use some much needed upgrades. I also believe that if the pool was available to residents only and their guests it would change the entire atmosphere of the pool. Perhaps, making the pool feel more lucrative. The only positive aspect of the pool is that on warm days kids can spend some time at the pool and cool off, but swimmers beware of the above mentioned...
