Fruit-A-Bowls — Restaurant in East Stroudsburg

My sister and I went in for the 1st time yesterday. They are definitely understaffed and the staff they do have don’t seem to care (or remember much) without us having to repeat the very small order numerous times. They really need to have a sign up with everything they do NOT have which is A LOT. For the high prices, I expected different so the owner should really evaluate these negative reviews on Google. I ordered the strawberry & Nutella crepe which was blah…made quickly just blah. My sister ordered the goat cheese crepe and almost 5-10 mins after ordering it she was told they didn’t have some main ingredient so she just said forget it. She ordered a Thai bubble tea which she did enjoy. I chose my 3rd bubble tea after being told they didn’t have my 1st- 2 bubble tea flavor choices and no bottled water or bottles/canned soft drinks and the 3rd flavor was nasty which I understand why it was still available. Caramel Latte or something like that. We and I know many others won’t be back until some quality...

This place is NOT a health joint. This is not a healthy or sanitary space. They don’t wash their produce, right from the container to your bowl. They also don’t wash their hands. The use the absolute cheapest ingredients possible to make this stuff. Bargain brand non organic or non gmo ingredients. They no longer make their bases (acai base) it comes in a giant plastic tub and contains less than 10% fruit. It’s basically ice cream and artificial ingredients fillers and dyes. The entire point of an acai bowl place is to promote health and wellness, to use organic non gmo or high quality products. In addition to the very poor quality, they DO NOT wash their very cheap imported produce from Aldi… Ever had food poisoning? Most of it comes from unwashed produce. I wanted to love this place but it’s not anywhere near what it’s supposed to be. It’s not healthy or safe. It also took 45 minutes ti get three bowls and no one there knows anything about food prep...

place is very hit or miss. when it first opened it was good, nowadays every time i go my smoothie tastes different. my boyfriend got me a tropical smoothie from here last week and it was delicious so he went back and got me the exact same one today and it tastes terrible and so bland. not worth it. also for how much they charge they should be putting a lot more fruit and toppings on top of their bowls. playa bowls charges around the same price and you get heaps of fruit and toppings on it instead of 3 pieces of fruit on top like you do here. they just don’t have a playa bowls in this area , the closest one is in easton. also sadly, the vibes are always off in here when you walk in the girls just look at you and ignore you for the first few minutes until they’re done then ask you in a depressing manner if you’re ready to order, whole time i called in 15 mins ago and am waiting to pay lol....
