Peppe's Latin Bistro — Restaurant in East Stroudsburg

They serve kid size meals. This was very upsetting to me.

I literally had to order another portion, because the first one was literally a kid size meal

Interestingly enough, the second portion was already larger than the first one.

I understand that we are suffering from inflation and things are expensive, and the overhead of the restaurant is very costly.

But they should be upfront with a customer to let them know that they are serving kid size meals.

I would have never ordered food in a restaurant knowing that I will be served a kid size meal

But it's not only the food, I literally had to ask for 4 drink refills, and we are not even talking about anything fancy here, but a simple gingerale drink.

They brought this slim fancy glass filled up with ice, which literally gave me again, a kid size drink

At the end my total came out to $40 plus tip

Service was very good, and the staff is very friendly.

But a friendly staff and good service does not fill up your stomach when you are hungry

I will not return, and I suggest you think twice before you go there, unless you are planning to order everything double, then you should be good.

Oh, and don't forget to bring a large cup with you, so you shouldn't have to ask for 4 refills...

So glad I stopped by Pepe’s Latino Bistro (frequented the OP). My wife, daughter and I sat at the bar where the ladies had hand crafted Margaritas (not Lemonade) served in a traditional short glass, rimmed with such fine salt, one large craft cube of ice. My wife considers it one of the best Margaritas she’s ever had, the other was the one my son, the bartender, made - same craft style. I had a Modelo, when in Rome. We all had two drinks apiece, told u those Marg’s were good. Now for the food. I missed stopping in for drinks at the bar and picking on some fried calamari - REAL fresh calamari including tentacles and rings. It was absolutely delicious, I think better than the OP. The marinara dipping sauce was amazing- comparable to mine. After 2 orders of calamari, we ordered the Super Nacho, u can have it with chicken, carne asada, shrimp. Red and blue chips with the usual ingredients and then some - just super fresh - not outta can. The prices are comparable to that of the Original Peppes - actually I think the prices are less from what we remember. Anyway, so happy to have a quality place to go. I want to start with the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. The experience, however, was frustrating. When we arrived at Peppi’s, we noticed a dog in a car which was parked in their parking lot. The owner of Peppis didn’t seem concerned that one of his patrons left their dog in 10 degree weather in tbe car until I mentioned calling the police if the owner didn’t address the dog issue. I waited and the owner identified the customers who owned the dog. They were clearly dismayed that someone had issue with the fact that their dog was left in a car in this weather. After the gentleman customer brought his dog home, upon his return to the restaurant, he approached my table aggressively and wanted to know which “witch” complained. He then physically attached one of my friend who is a woman by grabbing her scarf and choked her. I stepped in and stopped the physical altercation. The entire restaurant was in arms that this happened. The owner refused to ask the patron to leave. In addition, the owner didn’t even buy our coffee. Total disregsrd to tourist visit. I would never go again....
