Specifically chose this restaurant because it was the only waterfront option opened. Kind of wish I went to McDonalds instead.
The restaurant itself was clean, but a cold 64° which was uncomfortable especially when you expected to be able to sit outside on one of the two patio seating areas. Which was the other disappointment, we weren't allowed! We were the only of two tables even present (around 3pm), the waitress said "she wasn't seating outside so she wouldn't get overwhelmed". This didn't start the experience off great but we could deal, right?
Well, as the saying goes "you get what you pay for". We got the Atlantic Cod, side salad and Brussel Sprouts and the Chicken Tenders, fries, and cheesy potatoes. They serve a bread upon arrival. Needless to say the bread and the salad were my favorite part. The cod was flavorless, the brussel sprouts were not tasteful and looked like they were steamed and then warmed up again. The chicken tenders looked like they were burnt in the air fryer and were dry and the potatoes looked and tasted like they were last night's dinner warmed up too.
I'm a sucker for a restaurant with a view and this view didn't disappoint it's a real shame literally everything else did.
Full disclosure: at the time the rating was a 3.8 star, so I knew it was a...
Read moreFirst time there for date night and it was fantastic! First off, let me tell you about our waitresses, Abbie. She was the only wait staff working the six or so tables of 4. (We were the only table of 2) It seemed as if each table had it's own personal waitress cuz Abbie was so attentive. She also knew the menu front to back. To drink we had an Elderberry Fizz, which the bartender wasn't shy on vodka. It was good đ. Stuffed jalapeno poppers wrapped in bacon with a raspberry drizzle made for an excellent appetizer! For the entree we both had the New York Strip, rare. It was seared perfectly on the outside and warm and pink all the way through. The side salad was great, no tomatoes, but it did come with croutons and cucumbers. I like tomatoes but I didn't miss them. The potatoes were pretty good too. For dessert we had the cheesecake, and when Abby asked us if we wanted the raspberry drizzle or the chocolate drizzle we said both of course! She said no problem. We will definitely be going back! It was very affordable too! We even took a piece of cheesecake home to Grandma for 7 bucks. Our whole meal was...
Read moreMy family and I just had dinner here and we will definitely come back! My husband and I split the spinach and artichoke dip and the roast beef sandwich. The dip was so so, but the sandwich was really good and my daughter loved the jus so much she dipped all of her fries into it declaring "mmmm" after each bite. The service was exceptional as well. The waitress was very kind and helpful with our kids who had a little extra steam to burn off after a long car ride and were a little rambunctious at first. Thankfully she brought them crayons and coloring pages which they gleefully accepted. Additionally we had mentioned that we were going to split the sandwich and when she brought out our food our sandwich was already split into two separate parts, and we both had our own cup of jus to dip it in. If anyone has tried to cut a roast beef sandwich before without a nice sharp knife you know why this was a very pleasant surprise for us. All in all the prices were decent, and with the service being what it was we will definitely come back with our family next time we...
