I'm a huge fan of Pronto Pups; their location right by the water near the middle of town makes them a really excellent choice for grabbing lunch while you're visiting the beach, or strolling around town!

The main item they offer is the eponymous "Pronto Pups", which are a lot like corndogs (with a wheat-based batter, I think; "they're not a corndog"), but they've expanded their menu with vegetarian options as well. Great stuff all around, and the server/cooks are always very friendly to boot!

There is not much better than grabbing a couple of Pronto Pups and sitting down to a lunch...

Absolutely, hands down, the best deep-fried hotdog a.k.a. 'Pronto Pup' around!! You can also get chips and drinks (bottled water, lemonade, raspberry lemonade, tea, Arnold Palmer). Great location and prices. There are picnic tables to sit and eat at, or you can play a game of bags with your friends & family. If you ever travel to East Tawas, I would highly recommend...
