This was not our first time dining at the Galaxy for a special celebration - and it certainly won’t be our last! A word to the wise - reserving a table is a must at this popular restaurant. We enjoy the ambiance and the wait staff is very polite even when busy. This evening we began with the beet salad followed by the grilled ribeye and chicken saltimbocca. Both entrees were pleasingly plated. The generous ribeye portion (ordered medium rare) was tender and came topped with a smoky tomato butter (heavenly!), and sides of grilled broccoli (perfectly charred), and crispy herbed potato cake (the Galaxy’s innovative “must try” version of mashed potatoes). The chicken saltimbocca (topped with prosciutto, sage & fontina cheese) came with grilled asparagus (which tasted very fresh - as in “Hadley grass” fresh!), herbed polenta (mouth watering!), and a perfectly complementary herb jus (with the flavor intensity of “from scratch” pan gravy without being thick, sticky, smothering, or obtrusive - just the perfect amount and so scrumptious with the polenta). We finished with coffee, tea, chocolate mousse (a huge portion of rich, smooth, chocolate air accompanied by an equally huge serving of fresh, not overly sweet whipped cream), and strawberry rhubarb tart with vanilla ice cream (with rhubarb as the lead flavor and strawberry in a supporting role - just the way I like that combo!). Brought half the ribeye, crispy potato cake, and chocolate mousse home and now we’re basking in the afterglow. On other occasions we’ve tried the deviled eggs, crab cakes, caesar salad (with anchovies - yes!), etc. - all good. If you have a discerning palate I encourage you to give the...

Don't miss their excellent appetizers! We had a bit of a wait for several people in our party to arrive, so we enjoyed a good selection of craft beers on tap and appetizers including sweet potato and poblano chili fritters, fried Brussels sprouts, and some sort of delicate Asian dumpling. All were fantastic!
I enjoyed my entree of buttermilk fried chicken served with mashed potatoes and gravy. This is not southern style fried chicken; the batter is a bit lighter and crispier, and the chicken was two pieces of boneless breast with just the first wing joint attached. Not at all greasy, it was cooked to perfection: moist and flavorful.
We had a party of a dozen people, which they easily accommodated in a comfortable private room with windows separated from the main dining area by a glass partition. Do call ahead for reservations if you have a larger party as the restaurant is...
Read moreWe have been going to Galaxy for years, it’s my favorite restaurant in the area by far. The chef is definitely experienced, there is usually a variety of different cultural foods. Food ranges from fried chicken, to kabobs, Asian inspired dishes etc. Tonight I got the fettuccini special with clams bacon and kale, the pasta was made from scratch. The roasted tomatoes made the sauce amazing. My wife got the short ribs which we’ve had a few times. This place always cooks vegetables so perfectly, the green beans were cooked just right and seasoned well. Galaxy does a deviled egg of the day, they are always good and 5$ for two eggs halved, we got a Caesar salad and two drinks. The drinks are always great but by far the best part of the restaurant is the service. We’ve had the same servers for years, you never wait for water, check ins, or anything. The place has a quirky look and is always clean. This is my go to restaurant for my birthday or other special occasions....
