It's extremely hard to be objective in this scenario as there is theft involved. So I do apologize for sounding annoyed.
My review for the food here is still five star, they have one of the best burritos in the area. (Check that out all the way at the bottom) I however would CAUTION everyone to check the receipts and verify how much they charge, as the amounts, those subtle by a few dollars always keep changing.
I get the same two things every time I go in. And there hasn't been a single consecutive time I've been charged the same amount. Every time I pay a different amount, though I get the same exact thing.
They make everything turn into "special" item and up charge you without you knowing!
I thought I was going crazy, so I looked at my statements from the past few months, and they has literally never been the same amounts! And I always get a veggie burrito, and a pastor salad bowl.
I usually don't pay attention, because it's food and in general, I trust people. This establishment however arent the type of people I would trust.
I got charged for a special meat burrito when I just got a veggie burrito. Because I added sour cream, it made it "special" and I got upcharged $2. I added guac to my veggie burrito, they added another $2. A veggie burrito cost me $14! Unless I'm at Disneyland type establishment where they upcharge for everything, I've never had a restaurant charge me $14 for plain simple veggie burrito with sour cream and guac.
I can't be the only one to experience this! I highly recommend checking your bill at the end, verifying it with the amount that's listed on the menu board.
When I approached the cashier, and expressed my concern as to why I got charged different amounts when all I ordered was the same thing, 2 days apart, she got aggressive and said it's just money!!!
I can't remember the last time I left disgusted from an establishment due to the business stealing from their customers in such subtle ways no one can really tell unless they look deeper.
To summarize myself, their food is good. The people, well they're just people who could use some coaching on ethics and being honest with their customers.
I posted 2 screenshots from my account from today and the day before along with the condition my burrito was in the bag!

You may stand in a long line... You may not be able to sit during the busy times... You may even feel dizzy standing in the line cuz you haven't eaten for hours...
But when you put that first morsel of food in your mouth... Umm umm umm... Everything is forgiven! 🙂
The food tastes very authentic and is made and served with a lot of love. This is one of the few restaurants I know when you ask them to put more of something, they may charge you, but they put a lovingly lot more... And do that with a smile on their face... Cuz they know, you'll be back!
If you're considering eating here or somewhere else, I highly recommend giving...
Read moreWorst employer ever. They do not share their tips with the cooks. DO NOT LEAVE CASH TIPS. Very upset that the employee cashier that was working on 5/5/2016 at 11:45 PM was extremely rude. First I show up to pick up 100 tacos for my employee. The tacos were not ready. He said to me that I had to call back. I don't recall him telling me that when I placed the order at 10:30am. I instantly got upset but he was rude to me and not sympathetic at all. All mean while the server/cook said to me that they could have the tacos out in a few minutes. Impressively they did. I was happy that I had my tacos in 15 minutes. So happy that i wanted to thank your cooks by giving them their tip. But because the cashier was rude, I handed the tip to the cook and the cashier took it out of the hands from the cook and put it in the TIP jar. I walked out and the cook helped me carry out the food. He said they don't divide the tips with everyone. That infuriated me even more. So I go back in to the cashier and told him that I didn't like that he took the tip and put it in the tip jar. I told him I wanted the tip to be divided between the cooks. He said that all tips go in the tip jar. I said, I would like to take the tip out of there. He flat out said "All money that goes in the tip jar, stays in the tip jar." I asked him what his name was and he said "Its for me to know, and for you to find out." This dweeb S.O.B. small thing of a so called human, I hope that he goes to you know where.
As far as the food. Meat was dry, Salsa Hot. Tacos too expensive $1.45 each plus tax. I recommend going to Taqueria Mexico, Tacos are juicy and they are only 1.05 on regular days and $0.65 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and open 24 hours. Their Service is great.
My biggest mistake was...
Read moreI've went here about 50 times at least in the past few years. This last time they served me burned meat, after taking a few bites I could smell the burned meat. I went back (the first time I've ever done that to a restaurant) and told them the food was burned and they looked at me like I was crazy even though they were looking at the burned pieces of meat.
They did try to give me a full refund (with a very rude attitude) even though one burrito was eaten by someone and I refused and I only got the refund minus the one burrito. I even asked if they would remake it and they said no and waved me away like go away. They didn't say sorry or anything for wasting my time having to return or for ruining my meal.
Just because of this customer service I will not return. It's not about the money but about the principle of how you treat people.
Also, they seem to be a bit more stingy with the meat than they used to be while raising the prices.
Imagine charging $45 for burned meat and tortillas.
I'm at Pita Street two streets over buying their shwarma fries ... I would recommend...
