OK... Place has a great vibe, some good energy, and the food is generally amazing. However, our server Mickey gave me the impression that she only likes her job when she doesn't actually have to do anything. It was almost as if we annoyed her by sitting across from her at the bar while she talked to another employee of Hero's who apparently just got off and went to buy her and another female bartender Starbucks. I sat there and watched 5-6 other bartenders endlessly helping customers and attending to their customer service needs while Mickey sat in a back corner of the bar talking to her employee friend and giving him free drinks (Oops bold statement / Check your cameras Hero's) - not even paying attention to see if anyone needed help - anyone meaning the other bartenders / forget about it if you were a customer. ADVICE to HERO's: I'm not saying you shouldn't allow employees to come in and enjoy their time off after a shift or with their friends/family. But require them to sit at a table and NOT the bar where everyone feels they MUST and has to go say "Hi" and chat for 5-10 minutes at a time. My other advice - some of us connoisseurs of Alcohol prefer a glass were you can actually taste a perfectly balanced drink rather than a gallon of Mix and sugar with 1-2 oz of alcohol. I watched Mickey make my first drink.... some Tennessee Whiskey and lemonade contraption and watcher her pour 1oz. of Jack Daniels into a 32oz. glass mug of MIX (sugar). and then proceeded to charge me $17.95 for it (LOL). Come on Hero's - You...
Read moreI just got married and our budget has been tight and we rarely go out for dinner. The one time we decide to eat out, we chose Heroes. Unfortunately, it was not what I expected. It was a total of 6 of us and we were seated at an hour wait. We were all able to order our food. Everyone got their food at about half hour of when it was ordered except me. I thought it would only be a few minutes more until my food arrived, but it didn't take 10... 15... or 20 minutes more. It was about half hour more when they told me the food request was still being processed. At that point, all my friends were finished with their food and I was getting full from French fries my friends offered me. Then, my friend offered her half of her food, and I decided to eat her BLT instead rather than wait longer to an unset time to when my food would arrive. I'm pretty sure I would still be waiting at the restaurant if I had gone with the Mac Sandwich I had initially ordered. I'm not one to usually speak up, but this time I decided to because it was the one time I actually wanted to enjoy my dinner with my husband and friends. I asked for a discount, but the manager didn't give me one. Two stars are for 1) my friends were able to eat comfortably, and 2) the interior design was enjoyable as I waited for the food I craved but didn't receive. This isn't the first time something like this has happened at Heroes. They do tend to have multiple servers per table which seems to cause confusion...
Read moreI was looking for a St. Patrick's Day themed restaurant and this popped up. It did not disappoint.
The minute we walked in, there were so many things to look at from Ireland flags, green Christmas lights, to mannequins and animals heads wearing leprechaun hats. There was even a plane that had a propeller that kept slowly spinning.
It made me laugh when we were given the menus, 3 of them for 2 people, because under the glass of our table were also the menus, so we could've just read the table! SO MANY MENUS!
I was looking for something vegetarian and they had a bunch of salads and I also got a cup of chili that was really good. I wish I had gotten the bowl instead.
My sister got the Weekend Brunch "Big Boss" Brisket Burrito and it was huge! Just trying to lift it into the take home container took a bit of effort.
Even our waters came in huge beer mugs.
As for the waiters, they were so attentive. At least 4 waiters checked in on us. It's like if they were going to pass us by anyway, might as well check how we were doing and ask if we needed anything.
Even the girl at the front who was checking people in offered to take our picture when she saw all the pictures we were taking.
From the decorations to the food to the service, it's all highly...
