Erbert and Gerberts — Restaurant in Eau Claire

I’m so disappointed by the Clairemont location. I love Erbert & Gerbert, but after several online orders to this location I have lost all faith in them. Their store inventory doesn’t match their online ordering platform, they frequently make mistakes on the sandwiches, and they have often forgotten items altogether. For example, they have failed to deliver my kids drinks more than once. I called them about it and they said they would deliver extra the next time. Today, I ordered again and put a reminder in the order notes. Unfortunately, they didn’t read the notes because they were “too busy.” They forgot the extra drinks and they didn’t prepare my wife’s sandwich correctly because they didn’t read the instructions. When I called they again told me they would deliver extra next time. When I pointed out that this was the next time, the person on the phone put the responsibility on me to call them next time to ensure they did their job instead of trusting them to follow the order instructions. After paying so much for the food and delivery, why should I have to make sure they do their job? Despite multiple mistaken orders no one offered a refund or did anything to remedy the situation other than ask me to spend more money and do extra work because they are too busy to do their job correctly. This is my go to for a good sandwich. They generally put the sandwiches together well, as in only once did we get a sandwich that had just a weirdly heavy amount of mustard on one end. It's one of the few places where we can go and consistently have both of us get well prepared food that we don't instantly regret spending money on. That, and as it's a company that was founded locally I like supporting them even though they're getting to be a much more sizeable business. They have better bread than Jimmy John's. It's the only place that gives you the delicious bread guts. They're better than Subway in, well, basically every way. Their pickles are great, and the peanut butter crispy bar things are delicious- and honestly big enough you can definitely share with at least one other person (I mean, you don't have to, but you probably shouldn't eat the whole thing at once.)

Ordered online and it was not going thru after 15 minutes so I called. I was told they had no one to deliver my 1 sandwich order so I was asked when I would pick it up. I had no way of picking it up as I was at work and only had a 15 minute lunch. The gal on the phone told me she would cancel my order if it ever came through the system. Needless to say not one but 2 of my sandwiches arrived after my lunch (and after I bought from our cafeteria). My order was never cancelled, was double the price and I did not get it in time for lunch. When I called to clarify what was going on and get some customer service, I was told there is no way to cancel orders and that they use Door Dash when delivery is needed.
